Ignatz tears through the forest like lightning, clearly having the time of his life. "Dey'z slowpokes!" he hollers. Sound of Stone catches sight of the dead tree and points to it, and Ignatz sees its potential as a roadblock. "VATCH OUT EFFERYBODY!" Still sprinting, he launches himself airborne, spinning his gouge, and strikes the weakened trunk with a thunderous crash. The tree, lightningstruck for probably the second time, begins to fall...

OOC:
Actions: Charge the tree Sound of Stone points out
Howling Strike HIT AC 28, probably enough to send the tree rolling back towards our pursuers, and Ignatz gets a +2 speed bonus this round for charging.

Athletics 28, +1 Buffer (5 total)

Ignatz, taking action more quickly than the rest of his team-mates, fells the tree in one mighty blow, leaping over its now rolling six foot girth. It isn't until he has already made his way over the large obstacle that he realizes that the dangerous and heavy weapon he just unleashed...was unleashed before his friends were out of the way!

OOC: The DC for athletics checks has increased to DC 21 until the end of the round. Buffer increase/assist DC is at DC 25 until the end of the round.
WEContact: Give me 12 attack rolls with the Log (+8 vs Reflex 17) and tell me how many times you hit.

Joy continued to sprint through the trees alongside her companions. She barely broke stride as Ignatz toppled the massive tree, somehow managing to use a broken stump as a step to launch a dazzling leap. The air around her was still charged with music, now a chaotic pulse like a marching song sped-up tenfold. As she landed, she reached out with one gloved hand- and in the brush to the side of the trail there was a brief flicker of light and a soft rustle of branches. It wouldn't fool the most determined of their pursuers- but the fey were curious and chaotic by nature; it might mislead a few of them...

>Athletics check: 1d20+9 -2 for speed 5= 25 (success, buffer increased by 1)
>Bluff check (using Prestidigitation from Hedge Wizard's gloves; trying to lead off/distract some of the pursuing horde) 1d20+13= 16 (failure?)

Ignatz sends the large tree bounding toward the Unseelie...as well as his friends. Lucky for Kane and Sound of Stone, they surged forward before the tree could really get moving, and were past it before it became a threat. The tree doesn't seem to be a problem for Joy, the first in line behind Ignatz, as she leaps over the rolling obstacle with a tree stump boost. Tapping into the magical energies of her gloves, the ardent attempts to distract the group's fey enemies with a bit of light and sound. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to keep the focused enemy from continuing to move in on the group.

OOC:

5: Ignatz
4: Kama'zer, Joy
3: Vander, Sound of Stone, Kane

[sblock=Unseilee Death Race: Round 1]

Kane: Rolls 14 on Athletics check, falling from Buffer 3 to Buffer 2. However, he hits 4 of 9 front-line enemies with area burst 1 attack, granting everyone's next Athletics check with a +2 bonus.

Kama'zer: Rolls 1d20+11+2 (from Kane's bonus) -2 (speed penalty from armor), for a total roll of 28. Kamazer moves from Buffer 3 to Buffer 4. Not taking an action.

Vander: Rolls 1d20+3+2 (from Kane's bonus), for a total of 17, a success. He stays at Buffer 3. Uses Burning Brand, but rolls NAT 1, failing to start a brush fire.

Joy:Rolls 20 Athletics, staying at Buffer 3. Not taking an action.

Ignatz: Rolls 23 Athletics, moving to Buffer 4. Minor action: Body of the Wolf, granting him +1 speed.

Sound of Stone: Moves down to Buffer 2, assisting Kane, and rolls 25 Athletics. Full success and will move with Kane to Buffer 3 at the start of Kane's next turn.

[sblock=Unseilee Death Race: Round 2]
Sound of Stone: Pulls himself and Kane up to Buffer 3; Finds a dying tree up ahead with a successful Perception Check (rolled total of 18).

Kane: Pulled up to Buffer 3 by Sound of Stone; Evil Eye of the Vistani misses.

Ignatz: Dashes ahead of the group of adventurers (athletics 28; moves to Buffer 5) and smashes a large tree's remaining attachments, sending it careening toward their pursuers. After everyone else has gone, the tree hits 8 of the first 12 of them, blocking their path until the congested group manages to climb and/or fly over. This will grant everyone in the group a +4 bonus to their round 3 athletics check!

Joy: Makes a running leap over the rolling tree (athletics 25) and pushes ahead to Buffer 4. Attempts to distract with a magical bluff check (rolled 16), but this fails.

Kama'zer: ?

Vander: ?

Kama'zer makes the leap easily to land atop the log for a moment while she makes sure the her remaining teammates are able to dodge the obstacle. If one seems in danger of failing to get out of the way, she will use her racial mental powers to lift them above the danger if she can before finishing her leap forward...

OOC: 1d20+11=25 so Kama'zer makes the DC to bypass the log and maybe even get another +1 buffer bump? Readying an action to use 'Telekenetic Leap' racial encounter power on an ally to make them fly 5 feet (+4 to their Athletics check based on extra speed?) in case someone needs it to meet the DC of the check.

OOC: Phoenix8008 : You can use Telekinetic Leap on someone within 2 buffers of yourself. Because this is a move action on your part that gives someone else a flying movement of 5 on YOUR turn... that is about the equivallent of a +5 bonus to speed on their part. That means that they will NOT get a +4 bonus to athletics.... they'll get a +10 bonus to athletics!

OOC: I forgot that it was a +2 bonus for each 1 movement. Thanks for the reminder. Hopefully Vander won't need the help (since he's the only one left to go this round) and I can save that power for later if it's really needed, but its there if needed.

Vander flies after his allies, but doesn't quite fly high enough and gets caught on the log as it rolls past and is knocked into the air, only to catch assistance from Kama'zer and surge ahead again.
OOC: Only 20 athletics roll (which is impressive enough with a +3), but if kama'zer's leap triggers it puts me at a 30. I also have my pixie dust I can use at some point if someone needs a boost for another +12 bonus (fly 6 squares)
