it's starting to seem more and more like all the stuff they said would be in the DMG isn't going to be in there. nice to know we were just getting jerked around for two solid years.

Mearls did say all that stuff will be given to us for free. But that means we would have to wing it until they get around to giving us info on all those modules. For instance if you wanted to do a Magic Point system you might be waiting for weeks while they do articles on natural healing, races, and system conversions.

What information do they give on making your own monsters and assigning monsters levels of PC classes?

Do they explain how CR is calculated?

Spell points are in the DMG, see above. Some modules are in, some are not.

i'm tired of waiting on promises from WotC.
 

Flanking! It's a big deal... Are there more details?

Does it give Advantage on attacks, or something like +2 to hit.
Does it say if you allow flanking, you should also change opportunity attacks, since it's so easy to move around creatures?
