D&D 5E Creating a school D&D club: Rolling Again!

I'm the Straw Man in your argument
We had our last club session and it went well. We averaged over 30 kids playing, with a high attendance of 41. We had 32 at our last meeting - 15 girls.

If you teach high school, and are thinking about a club, I encourage you to dive in. There was a lot of fun energy and neat interactions. I love how inclusive and supportive our club was and we had a real diversity of our school represented. Always great to get re-energized by something like this after 20+ years of teaching.

This.
It’s good to see that things have changed since I was a kid.

I run a club for 5th-11th graders. We average between 4-8 kids per week. More than half are girls as well.

I usually DM but some years a kid takes over. I think 3 of the 6 years someone has stepped up.

This year I ran keep on the borderland for about 10 sessions. It was pretty fun. I am constantly amazed how the kids look to avoid combat. It’s definitely a different style than I am used to playing.
