Gorir

Gorir hears the hissing and muted sounds of combat come from from his comrades. Looks like they were right to worry about a rear attack. Not wanting to abandon his position protecting he party from the goblins he keeps his attention on the goblins while muttering a prayer to Moradin, seeking his aid for his comrades in this endeavor.

OOC: Waiting for KahlessNestor to post Magdalena's action before resolving this.
TallIan Spare the dying is a cantrip to be cast on a character with 0 hitpoints, to stabilize them. Is that what you meant to do?

Initiative so far:
22 James

Magdalena leaned against the wall next to the door and closed her eyes. After all, it did about as much good in the dark as keeping them open. She was getting tired. It was late.

James didn’t seem to find any traps, since he got the door opened. Then she heard quick, rustling movement as James jumped.

“What? What do you see?” the blind paladin asked, raising the unlit torch in her hand. “What is it?” She peered uselessly into the darkness.

James jumps out of reach just as a serpent maw closes where his leg just was, the half-elf crouching low in a defensive position. He steps behind Magdalena, who without torch light does not know what is happening right in front of her.

Meanwhile Thadius prepared himself to hit one of the snakes with his morningstar, seeing his chance as one of the scaly creatures slithers after James. The heavy, spiked weapon comes down and with a satisfactory crunch the tiefling feels the creature's spine take a big hit. Blood pours from a big gash in the snake's side and it hisses indignantly. It crawls back several feet and raises its upper body in a suspiciously cobra-like fashion.

The other serpent tries to attack any intruders within reach. Where before James' legs were close, the limbs now close by are Magdalena, and the snake swiftly bites towards them, its maw closing over her calf and drawing blood.

At the same time, Traubon looks at Gorir with concern, silently mouthing the words, 'They're coming' and nodding in the direction of the goblins.
OOC: You have one more round before the goblins have stood up from their game and ready to join the fight.

Thadius hits snake 1 as it moves into AB-11, causing 5 hp damage.
Snake 1 then disengages and moves back to AB-12.
Snake 2 attacks Magdalena. I will assume she takes a defensive action, so disadvantage: [roll0] [roll1] for [roll2] damage
Goblins are getting up from prone.

Thadius wasn't sure who James was talking to, but he looked like he was taking the fight in the opposite direction. Was he going to flee? Did he have a fear of serpents? The more questions that ran through the teiflings head the angrier he became. To hell with all this, he wanted to finish this mission and get the information on his grandfather he had come seeking. And no snake, no goblin was going to prevent that.

OOC:
Bonus Action: Rage please 0/2 left
Action:Attack snake #2 the one attacking Magdalena

Sorry, tapatalk doesn't seem to be giving me proper notifications at the moment. I meant to cast guidance not StD

OOC: So James is taking a Ready action, or am I misinterpreting that?
Thadius misses with his attack.
What are the actions of Gorir and Magdalena?
