Azurewraith

Explorer
Silently gliding in behind you is what can only be described as an abomination. It's flesh falling from its eye stalks, its big milky white eye fixes on the group.
GM: So those that failed their perception check are surprised and cannot act in the first round, the creature is large so fills up a 2x2 and is 20 ft away.

Neurotic

I plan on living forever. Or die trying.
"Ummm...attack?! Maybe it is just suffering creature that needs help? Look at it! It is falling appart! Can you imagine feeling your body rotting away?" the bard asks even as he fires series of fire rays around the creature.

[sblock=Actions]
Move: away from the beholder
Scorching Ray; fire damage; surge: 1D20+7 = [7]+7 = 14
2D6 = [6, 5] = 11
1D20+3 = [9]+3 = 12
1D20+7 = [9]+7 = 16
2D6 = [5, 1] = 6
1D20+3 = [7]+3 = 10
1D20+7 = [16]+7 = 23
2D6 = [3, 6] = 9
1D20+3 = [19]+3 = 22

hits AC 14, 16 and 23 for 11, 6 and 9 fire damage respectively
(and surge checks 12, 10 and 22 - I will wait with the failed roll Azurewraith, do I roll once for the spell or once per ray?)
