D&D 5E Not in the DMG

I have seen lot of rumors about things that will not be included in the DMG, but I haven't found info directly from WotC (maybe my Google-Fu is weak).

Which things (if any) has WotC confirmed will not be included in the DMG? And where will they appear instead?

I can answer the second part: There is no 'instead'.

WotC has made it clear they are trying something different this time around. The TRPG is now just a part of the D&D brand. Once you have the three books and HotDQ/RoT, you're done buying books from them (for the year at least). They suggest you check out the MMO, comics, etc, if you still need a D&D fix.

If by tear you mean 2014 then yes, but the next AP will be coming in March 2015. WotC hasn't announced this yet (I don't think) but their partner has. That AP also has an Adventurer's Guide to accompany it.

I don't think they've made specific statements like "X will not be in the DMG". They have, however, revealed what will be in the DMG, which might help narrow it down for you if you're looking for something specific.

Actually, I'm slightly wrong - Mike Mearls has confirmed that conversion guides for previous editions will be online as free PDFs, not in the DMG.

Not sure what you're driving at. I wouldn't necessarily expect AP content to be in the DMG. I do expect to see third party adventures, blog posts and the like, but I understand WotC themselves is afraid of releasing more books than people will actually buy.

I'd go find the quotes were I not on my phone...

Things not appearing in the DMG - Confirmed

1. Elf Porn - instead will be appearing on the internet
2. Orc Porn - hopefully not appearing anywhere
3. A secret compartment - or is there, make a Search check DC 30
4. A large wad of $20s - if you see one let me know, it's probably mine
5. Something you wanted - see 1.

5ever, or until 2024
Is this a trick question?

From what we know, all the obvious stuff that would in a DMG...is in it. I guess we might not have pages detailing hirelings, guidance on making ravenloft style 3d perspective maps, critical hit and fumble tables, a weather generation system (though we might actually have a simple one), an extended discussion of governance and social class (again, you never know), rules for modern/future vehicle combat or radiation damage and mutation, psionics (sort of in MM, and actually could be something in the DMG), rules for "epic levels" (again, can't be sure)...

We may see this stuff at some point somewhere. Though probably in the context of particularly "story". A set of adventures for Dark Sun could add psionics, more on mass combat, gladiator fights, harsher survival rules, dramatic crits, and so on.

Sorry, I was unclear.
I'm not interested what will/won't be in the DMG - because that is a meaningless question.
I'm only interested in what WotC confirmed won't be in the DMG, like the conversion guides Morrus mentioned.
