Uncommon Denizens of the Untamed Wilds

The Fisher appears fully intent on rushing at the party. Adisakti is in the lead and about one pace from the fowler. Taylar is a stride behind him and slightly to the left to gain more forward vision. Maka is a stride behind Taylar and closer to the cliff rise on the right, having a partially clear bow shot. Vittero is a pace behind Maka and slightly left of the line to gain better forward vision, but this is currently obscured by a large tree. Raven Elk is last at this this juncture. Vittero and Raven Elk will have to go around the large tree to the left of the path in order to flank.

OOC: :) back from vacation.

Raven Elk, being so far back, knows he can't charge through his friends to get to the beast; so instead, he prepares himself to rebuff a charge by the creature, using Way to strengthen his defensive maneuver just in case it's needed.

OOC: GM NOTE: Unlike your other character, Merin, in the Caravan Campaign, the Collegiate skill of Maka limits his ability to manipulate Way to a range of touch. He needs to have 10 ranks in Collegiate and at least least 1 rank in Aberrative or Academic to reduce an opponents Motility (slow it).

GM: The first Fisher is able to reach Adisakti and attack before Maka or Vittero can fire. As Maka draws and takes aim, three other Fishers charge forth from there secretive hole, one following on the heels of the first, the other two skirting the large tree to run at the party's flank. Despite the imminent threat to Adisakti, Maka adjusts to the second Fisher as a better target. The first two Fishers being obscured by other party members Vittero takes advantage of the enemy's flanking move to target the third Fisher as it comes around the tree.

GM: Having effectively shifted his aim in mid-draw, Maka bores his first arrow deep into the second Fisher, killing it on the spot. Seeing the third and fourth Fishers emerge from around the large tree, Vittero releases his arrow at the the third, stopping it in its tracks but not completely ending it.

Adisakti, who his physically engaged with a Fisher, reacts next, and Raven Elk can choose to act.

Adi charges his staff with electromagnetic way and touches the Fisher with it. If the Fisher is too close, he will simply electrocute the fisher by touching it.

Raven Elk accepts the charge of the remaining flanking Fisher and with Way, uses Adi idea of charging the spear with "lightning" (as Raven Elk liked to call the electromagnetic charging of the spear).

As the Fisher gets near enough, Raven Elk stabs at it with his lightning spear.

GM: For some reason the wooden staff simply will not conduct the electromagnet Way that Adisakti wishes to manipulate. Having avoided the beasts initial assault, he simply slaps at it instead, discharging the static build
