D&D Art & Arcana Amazon Sale

Amazon currently has a sale on for the Art & Arcana visual history of Dungeons & Dragons (both the special edition and the regular edition). You can pick up the special edition for about half price (also in Amazon UK). I gave in to temptation and availed myself of the sale yesterday, as the original price was a bit too rich for my blood, and my copy arrived this morning. It's really pretty! Here's a quick look (I almost didn't want to unpack this for fear of ruining it!)

"A deluxe, special edition with slipcase and ephemera of the illustrated guide to the history and evolution of the beloved role-playing game told through the paintings, sketches, and illustrations behind its creation, growth, and continued popularity.

Dungeons and Dragons is the most iconic and pervasive gaming franchise in the world. It is a seminal RPG (role-playing game) and the inspiration for video games like World of Warcraft and Zelda, fantasy art, and countless other facets of "geek culture." This officially licensed illustrated history provides an unprecedented look at the visual evolution of the game, showing its continued influence on the worlds of pop culture and fantasy. It features more than 700 pieces of artwork--from each edition of the game's core books, supplements, and modules; decades of Dragon and Dungeon magazines; classic advertisements and merchandise; and never-before-seen sketches, large-format canvases, rare photographs, one-of-a-kind drafts, and more from the now-famous designers and artists associated with the game. The superstar author team gained unparalleled access to the archives of Wizards of the Coast and the personal collections of top collectors, as well as the designers and illustrators who created the distinctive characters, concepts, and visuals that have defined fantasy art and gameplay for generations. This is the most comprehensive collection of D&D imagery ever assembled, making this the ultimate collectible for the game's millions of fans around the world."

Gee, I don't know, I thought this was the first time I mentioned spending money...

What amazes me is that you seem to be actually tracking when I am mentioning it. Kinda creepy.
Not really. I don't recall ever interacting with you before. Just wondering if this is your plan going forward. Popping into threads about sales and saying "no thanks".

Do you also go into golf stores and call out "Not buying anything here. I'm not playing golf anymore."? Perhaps you pop into women's clothing stores in the mall and declare "Nothing for me, today. I only wear men's clothes!"?
Or is it just an online thing? Do you also go onto Playstation news sites and post in the comments "I have already given enough money to Sony for PS4 stuff. I'll come back when they release the PS5."?

Or maybe you simply object to me commenting in a thread about a product when I have no interest in buying it?
A little, yeah.

I mean you literally took time out of your Sunday went to a website that specialises in news for a game you no longer want to support. Then clicked on a news link regarding a product you do not which to buy. Then you clicked "reply" to the message board thread. And then posted about how you didn't want to spend any more.

That's not healthy dude. You went out of your way to comment about how you're not supporting D&D.
Why? Were you making a desperate cry for help? Did you really expect a bunch of anonymous strangers online to care that you're not spending money?

Either way, what's it to ya? Haven't you got anything better to do with your time?
I really should. I mean... the first post was made when I was killing timewaiting for Windows to uninstall a program them reboot. This one is just because I'm baffled by you.
But, yeah, I guess literally anything is a better use of my time.

So, goodbye I guess.

Thanks for the heads up.

At the regular price it was too expensive to fit into my budget. The sale price however, was just in the sweet spot.
