Legacy of Death Part IX: The Ultimate Tomb

Sim goes invisible until the end of his next turn. He moves around the gargoyle (to avoid an OA) and near the portal. He tries twice (action point) to remove the wards but is confused by his invisible hands and fails. As a consolation, he hopes his complete failure will save him from another attack since the gargoyle is clearly protecting the portal and only attacking those trying to deactivate it.

Leandre charges again, clawing at the gargoyle. (33,31 ; dam 15,22) Allowyn rallies everyone to make a free attack using Hail of Steel. 33 v AC (heroic effort +4 if needed, 19 damage). If that hits, everyone within 5 (should be everyone) gets a free basic attack. The great cat claws with his free basic (38 to hit, 26 damage)

Buckthorn, you miss, as does the great cat, as nearly does the Warlord. Only his heroic effort saves the day (or his round at least) and he and the cat now hit.

OK, now the other three of you get that free basic attack. Forge still has to go.

forge uses his waraxe as a ranged weapon for his free basic attack (dwarven throwers) then he moves next to the gargoyle and hits it with brash strike. (36vs ac on free atack with 20 damage, 46vs ac on brash strike (thanks warlord for an extra plus 2)and 26 damage. He's got his sheild edge block or reactive surge ready of course if he needs it.

Any bonuses when we use an action point near the warlord? If so, Forge will repeat his brash strike with an action point.

As his FBA, Sim throws the Batorian dagger at the gargoyle (crit – 26 damage, assuming that Batroian steel does not do any extra damage on a crit).

having internet problems...but we will finish this turn...Buckthorn also feels the inspiration of the great cat, or I mean the great cat rider, and shoots the thing.

Even as it is starting to crack up, the gargoyle seemingly just hits the dwarf, but actually trigers his shield edge block (so make that attack or attacks). It retaliates by landing a devastating blow on Forge (crit, 44 dmg and 15 ongoing: he can react as noted).
