Princes set in the World of Greyhawk

As a Dungeon Master I have been running a World of Greyhawk campaign set in 601 CY with most of the action set in the Domain of Greyhawk. I made up or converted many affiliations for the City of Greyhawk and all the PCs are based there. We have played eight sessions or so and most PCs are fourth level. As far as adventures go I have made them all up or converted prior edition short adventures plus I also have Joseph Bloch's "Castle of the Mad Archmage" (1E version) on hand for exploration of Castle Greyhawk. The party has visited the first dungeon level aka the "Storage Rooms" and I found converting the material to fifth edition to be very easy. We haven't been doing the Mega-dungeon campaign thing but I have it available for some fun dungeon romp nights.

As a player I am playing in a DragonLance conversion of the Starter Set/Lost Mines of Phandalin that will progress into the Tyranny of Dragons adventures. This campaign is going to use two sets of characters or at-least that is the plan of the Dungeon Master. I have really enjoyed the Lost Mines of Phandalin so far. I am playing a fighter/cleric that is a human Sword knight. The DM converted all the FR affiliations in the modules to similar organizations from Ansalon.

Since I have enjoyed Phandalin and Princes of the Apocalypse has the same designers I am interested in running this adventure in my Greyhawk campaign. Elemental Evil/Elder Elemental Eye Cult and all is from Greyhawk so I know that part is easy to convert. Over the years my players have played through the full Elemental Evil series (original super module, my converted/updated efforts with The Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun, the Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil, and we even played bits of the 4E stuff.

Anyone with this module or the AL versions think it would be troublesome to convert it to start with say 5th or 6th level characters and be based in Oerth? I am not sure about the NPC races in the module but I have seen the wild stuff in the EE Player's Companion.
