WOIN Interaction of Exploits?

Drekin

Hello, hello. It's Drekin again ;)

I have another question!
Does the Spellblaster exploit work together with the career exploits meant to function as basic magic? Would it work with the Firebolt from Fire Mage for example?
In the same line of thought what would Deadly Strike work on? Would it work together with the Firebolt or advanced magic spells for that matter? How about the Jouster exploit from Knight?

Please advise
Drekin

PS: You've got me hooked on this WOIN stuff now so expect a lot of these clarification questions. I'm currently playing O.L.D., running N.E.W. and about to start playing N.O.W. as well ;)

As written, Spellblaster requires you to cast a spell. Deadly Strike works on any attack.

Just to clarify, does that mean both work when casting an advanced spell that's an attack? Like if I made an ice spear spell? Also does this include Melee, Ranged, Mental and Vital attacks?

Well it has to be an evocation spell, so it’s unlikely to be a mental attack.

Just reading up on Deadly Strike in the OLD 1.2 Draft.

The prerequisites "requires AGI or STR 5+". Should this also include INT for characters who use Intuition based ranged attacks?

Also, the text for Deadly Strike includes the line "By default, any character can trade attack dice to increase damage on a 2:1 basis." I assume this line should be dropped as 1.2 uses a 1:1 dice trade.
