Kickstarter dumpster fire?

Well, that was fun

Worst managed Kickstarter in history? In this Kickstarter, things go from bad to worse. The creator has not only threatened to kill people in the comments section, he’s now spamming it with his own self-written biography to drown out negative commentary.

So far he has about 30 backers, all at $1, just backing to be able to make comments.

(please keep politics out of this despite the game’s topic)

It is almost like some sort of social experiment. :D

Also, it looks like the board was created in Excel. He even accidentally dragged some images outside the border of the table.

The game itself seems to offer nothing really new. Just a roll-and-move "social commentary" Monopoly clone. I remember playing one called "Let's Buy Britain" back in the 1980s, which someone had made in response to privatisation. At the time it was interesting and funny. Now it's a lazy concept.

Now if it was based on War of the Ring ...

There’s no question as to his political slant, either.

And did anyone notice how many times he posted his fraudulent bio? Begs the question...

It's wrong to make fun of handicapped people. This guy needs medical help. The time and energy should be spent calling out succesful scams (rebranded Ali Baba stuff, etc). There's no chance of people falling for this, so it would be wiser to just ignore him. He seems quite unhinged, so pushing him might end in tragedy.

It’s the Internet. Just like nature, “red in tooth and claw”, the Internet is full of predators and scavengers. I suspect that the “supporters” will continue to feast on that Kickstarter like corvids at a battlefield.

The project itself might be all kinds of fail, but I don't think that the concept of a game mocking our current politics (either/any side) is the worst idea.

A timely project done right might sell.....

Here we have an experiment testing the hypothesis: There's no such thing as bad publicity.

Considering it made me click on a kickstarter I never would have heard about otherwise, I guess it works.

Actually donating, on the other hand...not so much.
