Remember the original cover artwork of the first edition D&D Player's Handbook? You know, the one with the two rogues prying a gem out of the eye socket of a devil statue? Maybe you're too young to have been there for first edition, but chances are you've seen the picture or at least a derivative of it. That image has always stuck with me as the paragon of all D&D art. In many ways, that image is D&D. At least D&D as it was conceived in the 1970's.
I always wondered what it would be like to play that very scenario... adventure in that creepy dungeon and pry out those damn eyes! I couldn't find an adventure based on that image, so I wrote one!
A mysterious cabal seeks adventurers willing to risk life and limb to plunder an ancient temple dedicated to the devil Moloch. The goal? Recover the fabled gems known to arcane scholars as the Eyes of Moloch! But be warned… devious traps, puzzles, and undead horrors protect the temple’s secrets. Is your party brave—or foolish—enough to answer the call?
