D&D 5E Single race party?

I've done all elf campaigns before. Tried doing an all dwarf campaign a couple of times but there was always that guy who refused. Prejudice against short runs deep.

It was fun to really delve into one particular culture in some ways, in other ways it just ended up being another (fun, unfortunately short lived) campaign.
Now that you mention it, I recall I played in a dwarf only campaign (AD&D1e). It didn't last very long sadly. The DM was new and he discovered that being behind the screen was much harder than it I made it seemed. He was less of a smart ass after that.

SAME!!! It's one of my favorite "campaigns I really want to run someday."

For that specifically, I'd open it up to rogues too but would consider any character concept that would fit the campaign concept (like barbarian strongman, warlock magician, etc).
I always thought Ravenloft would be great for that. A Romanichel caravan going from city to city around the region they are in.

Now that Tasha's has opened the door to custom modifiers I want to do a campaign with single race of PCs. The idea is to do a Tabaxi-only party set in a deep jungle. Have you done this in the past (other than human-only obviously)? Are you considering it?

Had a campaign that was all Yuan-ti in the Hepmonaland. That was fun. It was loosely based on some concepts I was working on for regarding the Olman mythos and the Scarlet Brotherhood at the time, with the PCs in a position of being rebels to the otherwise-rigid caste system.

That speaks to me. Big fan of Greyhawk. I'm currently re-reading my Folio and Greyhawk box set.

As a possible side campaign recently, my group was discussing an all-dwarf campaign where they decided to give adventuring "a try" so they could raise money to open a brewery.

The backstory was that they had been down-on-their-luck, glorified caravan guards and messengers who drink away whatever coin they earn. They get involved in a deal gone wrong and are suddenly on the run. A distant relative - now residing in Saltmarsh - contacts them with an offer they can't refuse. Campaign starts with the group setting foot in Saltmarsh...

I ran a basically halfling-only game in 3e. It was awesome. In fact, there's a story hour about it- "Of Sound Mind the Halfling Way". There were a few non-halflings in the group; a kobold was the clan dog, there was a human who had been adopted in, etc. It was great fun.

I never ran it, but the 4e Neverwinter Campaign Guide had a built-in plotline for an all-Dwarf party. There is also a less-obvious niche for an all-tiefling group.
