Coming Norse Village Builder WIP

After the release of the first set I am now working on the second set in the Norse Village Builder series. This house will be a regular town house but again with many options.

The main two looks will again be the wooden "Viking" and the wattle&daub "Saxon" version with different roof and ornament options.

Again I am adding the "porch" entrance option and also a stone base to highlight special houses.

The exteriors are done. Need to get the interior option finished!

I was able to get the interior files ready. The ground tile has a couple of options. Here all are printed but you can just have a dirt or floor board ground for example.

For the porch entrance house you can add 3D column posts to add some "flesh" to the structure :)

For the side entrance option I also made an alternative ground tile to cater for that version.

Next I need to get the roof finished. The outsides are almost done but I need to add the undersides for the visible parts!

Added all the textures and missing parts for the roof, esp the undersides.

Here's some test builds with the roof hat on :)

And finally added the ornament options I have so far (will try to add more later)

Starting to look like a little village now, doesn't it? :D

Here's a little sneak peek at the next building I am working on in my Norse Village builder series: the long hall!

The core will be a 9x5" long hall building and I will make a couple of "modules" for extension options. This is a prototype white build.

I have textured more of the exterior of the core building so here is a look at what I got test built so far. Bear in mind there will be many, many options so this is just one possible look. It can be with simpler wood walls, no shields, other roof etc.

Entrances can be placed on the short or long side. I have also used my "Norse Totem Poles" to embellish the doors here.

I will also have many dormer roof options, small and large and closed or open. I like the core house like it is already but once I have all the options done you will be able to build and combine many more variations!

Let me know if you are missing anything important to such a set! Maybe I can add it too :)

I have completed most of the extension modules texturing. Here's a look at some possible options. I have added a large entrance layer in case you want a double winged door. You can then connect these modules to the short wall side. for the long wall side I need to texture some roof parts.

More extensions done. This time we are going ... up! These can be added to the core building roof. Either solo or combining them both!

Also added these lattice window option. I think this kind of window would be very likely in this situation. We want ventilation esp with the large fire burning below to keep the warriors warm :)

Time to try out the core house WITH some extensions. How do you like these? It's a bit on the fantasy side but it should make an impressive structure on the table! Looking forward when I will mix it with the other buildings :)

I finished the extension modules going off the long wall side!

Now I (and soon you) can build configurations like this one.

Of course you can add the short wall and top roof extensions too for an even larger setup.

Here are a couple of pics showing what you can do with the expansions I have made.

Expanding the core house on the long wall side ...

... but also throwing in the short wall expansion in the mix!

I have added all the main "geometry" I wanted to. Now it's time to start cleaning up the files and adding the remaining skin options so I can prepare a release soon!
