The way I see it. D&D is McDonald's. OSR is White Castle. Pathfinder is Five Guys. Savage Worlds is Golden Corral.

White Castle seems more like Chainmail, since White Castle pre-dates and served as a model for McDonalds’s success.

For me D&D is the local family-friendly village pub: chips, dips, drinks, good friends, good banter, and good fun.

Almost all of the suggestions are US-specific. I think Taco Bell and Chipotle might exist a bit outside the US but they aren't big deals in most countries even if that is the case.

The exception is McDonalds. So realistically that's the only option from these.

This video is amazing. I've never been to a Waffle House and probably never will but I recommend that video to anyone.

If D&D 5e Was a Chain Restaurant, What One Would It Be (Please Describe in the Comments)

1. McDonalds. It's everywhere.

2. Chipotle. So good you overlook the occasional food poisoning.

3. Cheesecake Factory. I trust in the Snarf.

4. Cracker Barrel. It has rocking chairs for the grognards.

5. Taco Bell. It's amazing if you don't think about what goes into it.

6. Outback Steakhouse. No rules, just right.

7. Denny's. It might be terrible, but you're there at 3am.

8. Olive Garden. When you need to settle. And want breadsticks.

9. OTHER. Put in your choice, and why for MAXIMUM DEREK.
