Grant was the best part of The Undoing, as a charming, psychopathic husband who manipulated his family and colleagues for years. Could see him as Strahd, but I'm betting it will be something simpler, a wizard or noble who sends the party on a quest but has nefarious plans for whatever they are going to acquire for him. If the movie was based on CritRoll he would make a fantastic Trent Ikithon.

Grant actually has a pretty good acting range, and it'll be interesting to see what role they've targeted him for. As an older guy, it'd be easy for them to slot him into the stereotypical 'powerful evil wizard' cliche, I hope they do more with him than that.

One thing with this movie though - it's not cheap. Pine and Grant are pretty big names, and Rodriguez is well known and the Bridgerton guy whose name escapes me is probably in demand right now too. There's some real money going into the actors here, and a lot of them can genuinely act. It's not going to be Avengers in scope, but there's some real resources being thrown at the movie. I just hope some of the cash is going towards a half-decent script. Brando and Bogart and Laurence Olivier in their prime couldn't have saved the last D&D movie...
