Dune: Adventures in the Imperium is Now Available!

I'm looking forward to hearing your experience. I'm reading through the core rule book now and I'm trying to get my head around how the game flows.

Free League Announces Blade Runner TTRPG for 2022

@ART! To answer your questio n the systems use a simple dice pool - attribute + skill + modifiers x d6. Count 6s for success, extras buy stunts. You are normally allowed to reroll your dice once, and this is where they add most of the theme into the game. In Mutant Year Zero you character...

Free League Announces Blade Runner TTRPG for 2022

I'm getting to a point where I have a free league bookshelf, and one for everything else! Even if I don't run the games the quality of the production and the lore they put into it makes it worth it for me.

How do you like (or don't like) the Savage Worlds rpg?

I apologise if I came off as challenging. It wasn't my intent. I genuinely wanted to know if that was your experience because I haven't seen it myself. There is a definite change to pace for initiative once at the start of combat and once per round. I run Shadow of the Demon Lord at the moment...

How do you like (or don't like) the Savage Worlds rpg?

No I'm not. I'm directly replying to responses that have said that cards to them are slower than rolling dice for initiative and I asked for their experience. I have and continue to use alternate forms of initiative, but that has nothing to do with my post.

How do you like (or don't like) the Savage Worlds rpg?

For those of you saying that cards are slower than rolling, is that theoretical for you or is did you experience it in play? My experience is dealing cards is always quicker than having players roll dice and add their modifiers.

Action Economy and Why Magic-Users Don't Wear Armor

Magic Users not being able to wear armor is a D&D thing, not an RPG thing, or even a fantasy RPG thing. However you could simply impose a minimum strength-equivalent to wear heavier armours or otherwise have it exhausting for all but the best physically conditioned people. Hard to know more...

D&D General That one player who cancels at the last day

And backyards to be mowed. And mother in law backyards to be mowed. And pets with medical issues, doctors appointments (you need more and more) and trying to keep healthy... I'm going to stop now because it's getting depressing.

D&D General D&D Nerds! WotC teams up with Nerds Candy

Sounds more like a terrorist cell composed of geriatrics to me......maybe I'm playing the wrong game!

D&D General That one player who cancels at the last day

Welcome to the board! I don't mean to sound rude, but are you and your group quite young? With family commitments and urgent work responsibilties, having several weeks were one cannot find time to play is pretty normal. Heck i've had weeks where i've had a hard time getting enough sleep. So I...

D&D 5E I'm sure this has been done before....gates/teleports/lots of magic....attracting unwelcome attention...

Not firm rules no. But in my D&D campaigns I rule that casting spells shortens the length of the casters lifespan, cantrips a day, 1-2 levels a week, 3-5 a month, and 6+ a year. Kind of an inspiration from earlier editions. It provides an easy explanation why cleeics aren't raising the dead...

D&D 5E 3/4 Caster: Its Absence and Design Space in 5E

Honestly I hate the D&D paradigm of "Everything must be a spell". For example Hunter's mark should be a class ability not a spell. There's far too much spellcasting in 5e so I would not welcome a 3/4 caster. That's not to say that I don't want magic in my D&D games. Quite the opposite. Magic...

    Who's going to GenCon

I'm doing a couple of CoC online events. Ironically the pandemic has made the con somewhat more accessible for us Australians. Disappointed at the lack of representation of non d&d/pathfinder games however, and the alien rpg 3 shot i was hoping for was snapped up before I had a chance to grab...

D&D 5E In defense of my post....

All I have to say is you really want this kickstarter to fail otherwise you might get some unexpected attention from WotC and the Lovecraft estate...

D&D 5E Tanares RPG for 5e is live. With many legends as Ed Greenwood, Skip Williams. Back today!

@Michael-Alves I also did not register that you weren't a native speaker and so I double apologise. There are many native English speakers that make this mistake and for a native speaker it's inexcusable.

D&D 5E Tanares RPG for 5e is live. With many legends as Ed Greenwood, Skip Williams. Back today!

It was mean and I apologise. But it's one of those things that will prevent me from backing if it's on a kickstarter campaign page as I doubt the quality of editing. I think there'd be others that do the same. So just an FYI because you don't want to put in the effort elsewhere and lose out...

I really hate to be pedantic, but then and than are totally different words. When it comes to publishing and someone doesn't know the difference, that's a red flag for me.
