Level Up (A5E) DragonCult Culture question

It's something you choose at creation that is your permanent Umbra, often tied to the type of dragon the cult worships per the descriptions of each Umbra. You do not get to choose a different Umbra each time you use the ability.

Level Up (A5E) Roll20 Level up and 5e

You can use the standard 5e character sheet, it has the ability to add universal modifiers to things like skill rolls, so it's very easy to set it up to allow for expertise dice. In truth, I find it a better sheet on Roll20 than the A5e sheet, which seems much more challenging to work with. It...

Level Up (A5E) Warning Strike Question

If you have two weapons with different reach (Short Sword and Whip, 5' and 15' respectively) could you trigger a Warning Strike as a creature leaves your 5' reach (attack with the short sword) and/or when a creature leaves your 15' reach (attack with the whip)? Would you have a double trigger...

    Level Up (A5E) Parrying Weapons

I see your point, rather than the ability to maneuver the blade, it's more a function of how you divert the attack from an ogre's claw. So it's not weapon vs. weapon as it is weapon vs. world of D&D attacks. That I can see a bit more. BUT, from a purely weapon vs. weapon, a rapier or saber is...

    Level Up (A5E) Parrying Weapons

Is the list odd or is it just me? Weapons historically known/designed for parrying (Rapier) not given the property, but then giving it to weapons historically know for being the least capable of parrying (Great Sword). I understand at some point you need to build a feature around game mechanics...

Level Up (A5E) Maneuver Specialization and Stances

I would like to extend this question to the Technical Fighting style. It also mentions +2 damage, but is less explicit.

Level Up (A5E) Maneuver Specialization and Stances

Question here, the wording of Specialization is very explicit "Any attack you make as part of a mastered maneuver (including triggering attacks) deals 2 additional damage." If a stance adds capabilities to strikes such as Zealous Stance (add an expertise die to a melee attack), the language of...

Level Up (A5E) Parrying Weapons & Duelist subclass.

It seems another possible reading could be that the "reaction" portion of the definition is specific to a parry that is followed by the use of an exertion point and the "thrust". This limits you to one thrust reaction, so even if you parry twice to get a thrust you must spend your reaction.

Level Up (A5E) Bladechanter and Eldritch Archer

Cross compatibility is suggested but not implied. I wouldn't assume access to O5e spells while considering this multi-class. This seems more of the expectation you would have for your home game, but not for the general A5e audience. So you do see A5e being used along side O5e, hand in hand...

Level Up (A5E) Bladechanter and Eldritch Archer

Not sure what you are saying Morrus, are you suggesting sourcing spells from O5e, not from A5e? If you source using A5e, the list is small and not well suited to single target "add on" casting. It's a dead end capability with poorly thought out mechanics. Would love for you to list a few spells...

Level Up (A5E) Bladechanter and Eldritch Archer

I agree, I was trying to understand the benefit of casting on a hit with such a limited range of options. It's clear they eliminated cantrips so you couldn't add the easy pop of damage, but that seems the point of the ability. I would love to understand what the designers thought a bladechanter...
