D&D 5E Chains of Asmodeus: Official 286-Page Nine Hells Book & Adventure Released!

As much as a like the tactical choices as a DM of upcasting spells, not having to juggle spell slots while tracking everything else is a win for me.

D&D 5E Chains of Asmodeus: Official 286-Page Nine Hells Book & Adventure Released!

Exactly. You quoted my post, told me that I don’t understand what a sensitivity reader does, and then posted this when I pointed out that you are strawpersoning my position. Obviously you are not getting your point across. I doubt that we are too far apart in thinking that some subjects need...

D&D 5E Chains of Asmodeus: Official 286-Page Nine Hells Book & Adventure Released!

I clearly said that the default is that it will be improved is not correct, not that it could not improve it. I gave an example where using one might make sense. I listed what I would spend money on before I considered it. I did not do what your strawperson construction claimed, including and...

D&D 5E Justin Alexander's review of Shattered Obelisk is pretty scathing

The 6 includes the original module. But that might have been just Chris Perkins (no quick online way for me to check). Still much lower writer count than the average for the past while. I really do not get why they need more than 2-3 for their books. They really are not that long.

D&D 5E Justin Alexander's review of Shattered Obelisk is pretty scathing

I was happy to note that the writing team was only 6 people instead of the 12 to 15 that plauged too many recent adventures (makes it really hard to keep consistent). I did think some of the changes to the original adventure were silly and placing the to be discovered locations on the poster map...

D&D 5E Chains of Asmodeus: Official 286-Page Nine Hells Book & Adventure Released!

I don’t think it is even close to a default that a sensitivity reader adds quality to the work. I am not even sure what type of sensitivity reader can be used on a book full of devils and archfiends. Avoiding topics that can make people feel uncomfortable can result in a weaker product and...

    General DCC RPG thread

I hit my charity budget and got three things I wanted. For charity auctions I just pick how much I want to donate and bid accordingly. One of the items I was chasing a friend wanted it to make her contribution against and I stopped bidding.

Won the leather cover Weird Frontiers book, Weird Frontiers art and Weird Frontiers light. Good items and helps with charity to someone really in need.

    Star Wars Ahsoka - SPOILERS

It is worse than that. I did not like Andor and posted about it in my Facebook page. Quickly my feed became more and more full of complaining about Star Wars messages from different groups. To all appearances, my opinion is the common and mainstream one. Of course, it is not. Quite a few people...

    Star Wars Ahsoka - SPOILERS

Compared to something like Slow Horses, both seasons are way better written and acted than Andor (which I think is the second worst modern live action show with Boba Fett being rock bottom). Honestly, even if you argue that Andor is the best Star Wars, that is a really low bar. Star Wars is...

    Star Wars Ahsoka - SPOILERS

Andor started badly and got worse. Spreading 1/2 an episode of plot over 3 shows each time with ponderous and boring writing. Ahsoka had way too much of the main character standing with arms crossed and a blank look on thier face reciting lines in a montone. Sabine dodging telling Ezra about...

Strike Ending & Amazon Antitrust - Streaming Services: Power Rankings, FALL 2023

Max has a lot of debt. That is because of how it was birthed, via a drunk AT&T which has tossed $billions into large piles and lit it on fire but in the desert where not even the heat was needed. That cripples their ability to make bolder choices. They are still great at making shows/movies that...

Consider the Cannoli: Subjective Preferences and Conversations about Geek Media

I lived in China and did not find the local fried chicken to be that amazing. Singapore the same. KFC (American chain) is super popular in China. But the only local one I really liked was the version with the tongue numbing spice. That is a ton of small pieces with bones and the spice/pepper...

Consider the Cannoli: Subjective Preferences and Conversations about Geek Media

I am on a flight to Seattle tomorrow to game until Sunday. It actually is a rural area near Seattle so I doubt they will have Korean fried chicken but you never know. And I do CPE to maintain my CPA.

Consider the Cannoli: Subjective Preferences and Conversations about Geek Media

GaryCon is my once a year try something new gaming convention. I run different systems for my two gaming groups (Hyperborea and 5e now - just switched from CoC) and at times you you have something in mind, like Korean Fried Chicken but after walking for a mile you arrive and find it closed so...
