Pathfinder 2E By prohibiting ORC licensing on Pathfinder/Starfinder Infinite, Paizo is now a step closer to WotC's walled garden approach with dmsguild

Surprising no one they never responded. It's really dissapointing to see this behavior from people who've built their careers and business on open gaming content. Content derived from literal decades of prior work and then to give nothing back. That's absolutely parasitic. As has been pointed...

Shadowrun 1st Edition To Be Reprinted

Fair point, I remember seeing it in Miniature Market and Gamenerdz clearance sales, but maybe that was a couple years back. This came out in 2017 and they were floating around for cheap for a long time. Though, looking on Ebay I still see sellers selling them for $35 now.

Shadowrun 1st Edition To Be Reprinted

To be clear, I'm referring to which edition of the WEG Star Wars they reprinted. Not other Star Wars games entirely. I'm stating that that there would have been far more interest in the reprint if they had chosen to reprint second edition or revised from the WEG version.

Shadowrun 1st Edition To Be Reprinted

I wish your case was more common. If it had been a commercial sales success we may have seen reprints of Second or Revised and I would have loved that.

Shadowrun 1st Edition To Be Reprinted

Yeah, agreed. This will go about as well as FFG's reprint of the 1st edition of WEG Star Wars. That is still in clearance sales today. Nobody wanted that edition. Same thing here. If this were a reprint of 2e? I think people would be all over it.

    D&D Movie/TV Here Come The D&D Movie Gaming Tie-Ins!

I saw that! My wife and I buy one tacky nerdy christmas ornament a year from there and at the store I had to decide between this pudgy boi and a talking Dude from the Big Lebowski. Obviously, I chose the ornament that really ties the room together.

The "I Didn't Comment in Another Thread" Thread

I'm not really an olive fan. But, I will say, if you're gonna put olives on a pizza, use green olives. They at least taste like something. Black olives just taste like wet salt. Which, okay, just put salt on your pizza.

I would just call everyone Champ and then leave one day for cigarettes and never come back.

Fantasy: Greyhawk, Lankhmar and The Old World. Sci-fi: 40K, Star Trek and the WEG version of Star Wars.

D&D General D&D tries to be a little of everything, and that's its secret strength (and weakness)

If there is a 5e reskin of Doctor Who there's got to be a version of everything else.

If there is anything you can rely on it's my absolute sloth.

In my world that's called being a victim. Turning the other cheek just gets you slapped again. Tread on those who tread on you, and all that. That all being said it seems like a weird philosophical tangent, yeah?

I'm just saying I didn't make up the example as a strawman as you claimed. I'm far too lazy for that.

D&D General D&D tries to be a little of everything, and that's its secret strength (and weakness)

Yeah, that makes sense. I sometimes lose sight of the fact that some people have to pitch and run public games with strangers. That's about the only reason I can think of though. But I'm lazy, so if my choice was between being an unpaid game designer on top of being an unpaid GM? I choose...

The "I Didn't Comment in Another Thread" Thread

I'm not disagreeing. I'm just saying that if you are less fortunate in life you shouldn't be made insolvent by performing a civic duty. It shouldn't be that way. I personally know people who've had to scramble to cover rent because they weren't getting paid for a couple weeks.

You say that now, but wait until you get selected for a three week trial and get paid in a ham sandwich and $20 a day. Most jobs aren't required to pay you while you're on jury duty. Some do, but they don't have to.

The thing that gets me about " I want to turn 5e into WFRP" or whatever isn't that it can't be done. It's just why? Just go play WFRP it's waayyyy less work on your part to just read that and use that thing made to do the grimdark thing.
