[OOC] Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden [closed for now]

Would a Arcana, History, or Religion check let me know what the symbol on the chest is, @Quickleaf ? I assume Arcana to identify the potion, right? And my Book of Shadows lets me swap out cantrips, so I could swap out one of my cantrips for Mending to fix the snowglobe the next time our...

Who's left to post? Should we just finish off the mother if we're adopting the child yeti?

@Nordom are we waiting for a DM post?

[OOC] Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden [closed for now]

Personally I think skinning the yeti to make a coat to keep at least one of our characters warm is a good idea. Sure we could sell it, but we're likely to need warmth more than 150 GP.

    (IC) PLANESCAPE: Intrigue

Cursing under his breath Izek moves to provide Orris with the Paladin's requested covering fire. The worst part of all this was not knowing...anything. Better that they seemed to be pawns (since that implied some sort of plan), but the fact that his situation was a mystery to him infuriated...

(IC) Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden

Zeth feels his gorge rise as he catches sight of the corpses, but manages to force it back down. Vomiting could prove a fatal distraction with the mother and child yetis still active. At the very least they could ensure nobody else met this fate at the claws of these monsters. And just as...

Could we add something about the secret each character has to the XP bingo card?

[OOC] Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden [closed for now]

Having reread the character sheets I think Zeth can take the lead on matters relating to money/finding ways to profit off this adventure.

(IC) Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden

Zeth nods as he lets out a long breath. Then he coughs as he inhales the cold air. He quickly gets it under control, but once again curses the frozen wasteland. As it is his only hope of coming out ahead of this is to both recover his lost treasure and see what personal profit he can find. Sure...

Zeth's not looking for leadership so much as the benefits of being in charge, but he could take an active role in planning.

Review Grim Hollow Player's Guide - 3rd Party Review

One thing I hated about Grim Hollow's Transformations was how many of the drawbacks would be all but impossible to deal with in-universe. As an example: The Lich's drawbacks (8 CR worth of souls every day at the highest level of the transformation) would mean a lich would swiftly depopulate any...

[OOC] Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden [closed for now]

"Characters gather around a campfire for exposition purposes" is a classic movie trope for a reason.

    Everyone should play Nobilis, really

From what I've seen the game looks interesting and even with the flowery (pun intended) wording I think I understand how it works. I'd be willing to join a game if anyone were willing to run one on here.

[OOC] Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden [closed for now]

After we deal with the remaining yetis would it be alright if we took some time for our characters to just interact with each other? I think it'd be good to establish some connections and it'd be fun roleplaying.

    Everyone should play Nobilis, really

I've heard of the game before but outside of a few of the concepts didn't know much about it. Based on your description it sounds like something I'd be interested in checking out and maybe playing if anyone ever does a play by post version of it. Thank you very much for your write up!

D&D 5E Post Zariel's Redemption Avernus? What's happening as a lead up to Chains of Asmodeus?

The book says that a Demon Lord seizing control would shift it towards Chaotic Evil, so I'd imagine that sufficient actions could cause a shift to Good as well. It'd be incredibly difficult, but it's a suitable campaign for a group of high level characters.

D&D 5E Post Zariel's Redemption Avernus? What's happening as a lead up to Chains of Asmodeus?

In my opinion a plotline that would best tie together all the possible ideas would be your party trying to ensure a specific claimant gets lordship of Avernus. It doesn't have to be a party member, it could be an already existing NPC or an original one. After all why not try to move the first...
