    State of Comics in 2023?

Went to Barnes & Noble and found their manga section to be 3 times the size of the comic section. Picked up a couple of manga. xxxHolic as I really liked the anime and Solo Leveling ( is this really manga as it’s in color and you don’t read from left to right ). Manga has replaced comics for...

    C7D20 - Any news?

There doesn’t appear to be any updates on this since April. Anyone hear any rumors? Anyone pick up Uncharted Journeys and have thoughts?

D&D General Forgotten Realms fans, what do you like most about the setting?

I love the lore and history. The Forgotten Realms feels “lived in”, much like Star Wars. The kitchen sink aspect is a benefit. You can set any type of fantasy scenario in FR. The gods are fun and varied. If you want, there are interesting NPCs to grab. You can also ignore them.

    Unpopular opinions go here

This thread has become someone saying “it’s Opposite Day”. Someone replying “it’s Not Opposite Day”, which of course means it is, which means it isn’t, which means it is, which means it isn’t… Explosion.

    R. Talsorian updates on Cyberpunk RED, The Witcher, and a new secret project

Our group never played 2020. We played several sessions of Red before the organization of the books (or lack there of) and the clunkiness of the rules killed our enthusiasm for the system (not the genre).

    R. Talsorian updates on Cyberpunk RED, The Witcher, and a new secret project

The Cyberpunk Red core book is horribly organized and laid out. Combined with the layout of the character sheet, it really killed my enthusiasm for playing it.

I figured Daggerheart would have higher numbers. I’m guessing it was because they had a limited number of GMs?

Black Flag Tales of the Valiant Alpha Release is out.

The problem with being too conservative is that it becomes “why should I pick TotV up vs 2014 5E ( or even 2024 ). I already bought it because I really liked a fair amount of what I saw in the previews such as; universal subclass progression, separation of lineage and heritage ( I do think...

Black Flag Tales of the Valiant Alpha Release is out.

There’s a lot to like in there. I’m hoping that they do more to address some of the underlying annoyances with 5E such as problematic spells, better cantrip scaling, borrowing the simplified exhaustion progression from OneD&D (which I’ve see elsewhere), etc. Going to take a while to go through...

Unearthed Arcana Playtest Packet 6 Video

I find my enthusiasm waning with the rollback of the exhaustion and uniform subclass progression changes. Why keep something clunky because the new version didn’t reach an overwhelming enthusiastic response. I’d be curious to see what the results would be if there was a direct comparison...
