D&D General Hasbro Is Looking For Partners For Baldur's Gate 4

Honestly? I'd rather BG4 be... not BG4, lol. Give me a 'BG' game set in Eberron or Ravenloft. Hell, give me Spelljammer or the like. Anywhere more interesting than Faerun.

D&D 5E Where Does The Multiversal Vecna: Eve of Ruin Visit?

I don't recall Vecna ever be a Dark Power? I know he was a dark lord for a while, until he busted out and tried to usurp the Lady of Pain. Actually, on that note, I'm curious. You guys think they'll call back to Die, Vecna! Die! ?

    D&D 5E Download LEGO's The Red Dragon's Tale

Dragons that shape shift into human women. WOTC tried to decanonize them in Fizban's.

D&D General "Spine of the World" is a weird novel

That's because RA is an ex-catholic and that's bleeding into his writing.

D&D 5E [Let's Read] The Star-Shaman's Song of Planegea: Dungeons & Dragons, Prehistoric Style

From what I recall, the book encourages the dm to not actively use the hounds and to leave them nebulous.

D&D 5E [Let's Read] The Star-Shaman's Song of Planegea: Dungeons & Dragons, Prehistoric Style

Planegea is such a great setting. It's something similar to what you'd think WOTC would put out to capitalize on their 'prime world' concept that popped up in Fizban's and was alluded to in the Bigby's playtest stuff. In my own spelljammer game, one of my players is a dinosaur man trying to find...

    D&D 5E [Let's Read] Dr. Dhrolin's Dictionary of Dinosaurs

Wait what? I thought artificer wasn't an srd option/part of the ogl?

D&D General What Is Your Dream 50th Anniversary Product?

Personally, a set of books where each has updated stats for every published variant of a given creature type throughout the editions Maybe say dragon, fiend, giant, aberration?

D&D General 50th Anniversary WotC live panel at PAX Unplugged 2023.

Hence why I said they appear more and more like vaporeware.

D&D General 50th Anniversary WotC live panel at PAX Unplugged 2023.

That wasn't one of them. It was said both would be coming out in 2024

D&D General 50th Anniversary WotC live panel at PAX Unplugged 2023.

That IS the Nentir Vale though. It was made specifically for the 4e DMG. No reason to make another one when you already have a DMG friendly setting

D&D General 50th Anniversary WotC live panel at PAX Unplugged 2023.

I mean, they have the Nentir Vale for that sorta thing. That setting would be way easier to resurrect than make something new for the DMG

D&D General 50th Anniversary WotC live panel at PAX Unplugged 2023.

The closer we get to 2024, the more it looks like those new settings they confirmed a year or two back have become vaporware.

D&D General Worldbuilding Assumptions: On the Origin of Species

In my own setting, most races spawned from magic i.e humans and their sibling races came from the survivors of another race exposed to magic. Several animal-folk races came from animals exposed to magical forces. One is a manufactured race, created by the dragons. The only one with a truly...

Planescape Adventure Atlas: The Mortuary, on DnDBeyond and a WotC video.

I'd be less annoyed if they collected all of those Monster Compendiums, the domains of delight, The misplaced creatures, etc, and offered them as pdfs after a certain amount of time. Beyond isn't my main platform for my games and I much prefer pdfs and the like.

I was hoping to find out more about the two new settings we're supposed to be getting but oh well.

D&D 5E How would you do the sword mage in 5e?

I wouldn't, I'd resurrect Duskblade instead. Gimme them on weapon hit touch spells.

    D&D General D&Difying History

Historica Arcanum is a third party 5e setting that's doing just that. The original release is a Istanbul, and the upcoming second book explores countries along the silk road iirc.

D&D General The Case for Evil Orcs (Minor Rings of Power Spoilers)

I'm not the biggest LOTR guy, but wasn't Tolkien himself uncomfortable with inherently evil/unredeemable creatures? I thought the jist of the orc situation was that they had free will but were brow beaten, and through Sauron's oppressive iron fist, forced to serve?

D&D 5E What classic and/or MTG settings bring something new to the table?

I've always wanted an Ikoria monster manual. That set had so many cool as hell creatures in it, I'd love to see them stated up. Ixalan would bring a pirate focus and a lot of dinosaurs. Innistrade would be a good companion to Ravenloft. As for classic settings, bring back the Nentir Vale. Place...
