I don't care to play 5e anymore and nothing I've seen from 5.5 seems like its going to make it more like my tastes. I'm fine with OSR games. OSE, S&W, etc.

That is entirely true. Which is why I just lost interest in running or playing 5e. No right or wrong just personal preference.

Stuff like this is just part of us accepting the conveniences of platforms like Steam compared to owning a disc we can install the game from. Though even when I was buying games on DVD I would find that it was nothing more than a placeholder while it connected that game to Steam or Origin, etc...

Yeah, the core system of D20 wasn't very complex. It was the number of modifiers that were changing round by round. And depending on the group that could be a real PITA as people would lose track of what was what and how feat X applied to situation Y.

I ran a campaign back when I first found your mashup rules. I still have the PHB but I have lost the other PDF. These were the version before you added in some 5e stuff like proficiency bonus. Do you still have those older versions anywhere?

Thread necromancy. I have 1e and 2e. The magic system looks cool on a read in 2e as magic can get out of control. Does 4e offer anything really to make it a clear choice over an earlier edition?

So does this have any impact for players like me who could not care less about PF, 5e or 1DND? Can Necrotic Gnome still publish OSE under this? Can OSRIC publish under this? Or will they have to do makeovers for all those?
