Same. What I want out of a Gish is 2+ Attacks, Medium Armor, and a small number of full powered spells. Warlock fits this criteria, save the armor, and the changes to Warlock in 5.5 further empower the class to fulfill the Gish niche. That said, I know many people dislike the patron flavor.

Personally speaking, I think Draconian and Dragonborn have more name traction than Lizardman or Yuan-Ti. I mean, I would prefer actual Draconians over Dragonborn, but I'm happy with either. The words are just fun to say!

I fully agree with @Kobold Stew and @Charlaquin. Just drop the +1 to an attribute, and keep the rest. The feat is underwhelming to me as a 4th level choice, and would make a fine Origin Feat with that one single change. Some Origin Feats are already stronger than Ritual Caster if we don't...

The feat says "You always have those spells prepared".

I honestly prefer the 5.0 version. The main draw of Ritual Caster for me has always been the higher level rituals like Silence, Magic Mouth, Phantom Steed, Tiny Hut, and eventually Telepathic Bond.

You don't need to be a spellcaster to take Ritual Caster. You DO need either Int, Wis, or Cha at 13+.
