Am I just totally missing something or is this a pretty bomb-diggity feat? Maybe it doesn't work for passive checks? Otherwise this is I think an auto-matic grab for sorcerers once they hit 11th level.

I have to say I really do like this idea. And I agree you wouldn't need money for higher level items, as you could either do the level restriction thing, or the fact it grows into you/you bend it to your will, or you could have to find rare components and make it less like an absolute cash...

Ongoing damage doesn't stack, so, that'd be a powerful house rule if you included both ongoing damages.

What about having the acid or fire damage decrease the amount of regeneration per round instead of auto disabling it? So if you did 7 points of fire damage it would regenerate 3 hit points instead of ten. If you did more then 10 then it doesn't regenerate that round. I kinda like this idea...
