Any idea if The Queen of Elfland's Son is going to get a reprint as a standalone adventure or are all modules now on only getting reprinted into those Tome hardbacks?

This "Creep, Skrag, Creep" adventure sounds pretty cool. How tonally different is the "horror" line from regular DCC? I mean, should I run players through only the horror line or can you intertwine horror with standard adventures. While, I've got you here...thoughts on the upcoming Purple...

So... I'm looking over the DCC module list and have decided I want 2 modules at each level. I'm kinda torn on level three though. Of these four, would y'all have any recommendations on a specific two? The Sea Queen Escapes Jewels of the Carnifex The Croaking Fane Bride of the Black Manse Thanks!

Thanks for the confirmation that the reprints are going hardback. Guess I’ll be on the hunt for the original modules. That hunt can be fun itself. Cheers!

I know Goodman is collecting DCC adventures in those hardback tomes, but tbh, I prefer the slim profile of the $10 adventures individually. There’s quite a few in PDF only atm… The One Who Watches From Below, Doom of the Savage Kings, The Queen of Elfland’s Son, etc. Any idea if they’re gonna...

D&D 5E Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen... anyone play through it? Any good?

I was a big fan of the novels back in the late 80s/early 90s. Didn't really play through the adventures though. I have a passing interesting and revisiting the setting and as a fan of 5e, I'm curious how well this book has landed with players. I understand, being both a sourcebook and campaign...

    D&D 5E Best Official 1-3 or 1-5 Level Adventures?

Thanks, all! There's plenty here to look into and keep my table busy for awhile, so I appreciate it. Question, are these the same Scourge of the Sword Coast and Death House adventures mentioned? SoSC - Dreams of the Red Wizards: Scourge of the Sword Coast (D&D Next) - Wizards of the Coast |...

    D&D 5E Best Official 1-3 or 1-5 Level Adventures?

So, I've got the two Beginner and the Essentials box, so have those three, but I'm looking for something similar. Not the long 1-10 level epic campaigns, but more of these shorter mini campaigns as it were as I've found they're just the right length for the group. So, are there any other good...

So, how’d it end up some other company can publish what are basically the B/X rulesets of DnD? Does WotC not own these older versions of the DnD rules?

My potential players come from a 5e pool. Despite some being my age they never played DnD back in the day and 5e is their first experience. I kinda wanna get Old School Essentials and run these as they were meant to be run. 100% relive my lost youth (where I owned these but ended up playing in...

So the Tomes and the box sets have the same content? There a single B//X tome or a box set of you want the content broken out. Also two AF tomes or a to-be-released box set of you want the advanced content broken out. Is this right?

    OSE help

I understand Old School Essentials is basically a cleaned up B/X ruleset. However, I’m a little confused on the offerings. Is it a single book? A box set? What’s this new KS about? I just want B/X… what do I need?

alright, one more question… if I got four of these (Into the Borderlands, Lost City, Isle of Dread, and Castle Amber)… it would be two for levels 1-3 and two for levels 3+. What would be the best pairings to run? I’m thinking Into the Borderlands followed by Isle of Dread and Lost City...

    D&D 5E 5e DM Screen w/ Old School Art?

I’m looking to run some of the Goodman Games 5e conversions of reincarnated models. I have a contemporary 5e DM screen that I like, but for these occasions, I think I’d prefer something with old school style art facing the players. Is anyone aware of any retro looking DM screens for 5e? Thanks!

Thanks @Retreater, @Lidgar. Having to keep, and use, both books means I might pass on this one.

I think I’m interested in playing the Hommlet adventure, but maybe not the following dungeons. If I bought the two book set is Hommlet completely contained in one?

@Retreater - what is this Dark Tower I’ve seen mentioned? I’m not Familiar with it. Is it a 5e adventure of the old board game? EDIT: nvm I see it’s an older adventure… but in three books!?!! Also, what didn’t translate to modern audiences? Did you have a TPK?

Thanks again, all, for these great responses! Especially @Lidgar and @Whizbang Dustyboots for the lengthy, in-depth replies! Personally, I think I’m leaning towards: Into the Borderlands, Lost City, and Isle of Dread, mainly because I actually owned all three of these the first time around in...

I appreciate all the replies. Those that have run these reincarnated versions, are you using original 1e rules or the 5e conversions?

How practical are these big books during play at the game table? Do they stay open? Are they bound well for the rigors of play?
