[Memphis, TN] LFG DnD 5e as a player or DM

Hey! Welcome back to the Memphis area. I dont know how much you've been around the gaming community in Memphis, so forgive me if some of this is redundant. I see groups playing in the rooms at the Cellar Game & Comic shop frequently. There's also a newer store in Memphis called 901 Games...

I've been curious about this. Thanks for the review.

    Kobold Press' Warlock Gaming Zine

I'm a subscriber & I think they're great. I get both the physical zines & the pdfs of the Lairs. Great stuff. If you're familiar with the Tome Show podcast, we recently recorded a discussion & review about Warlock. It should be releasing soon.

Star Wars 30th Anniversary RPG Announced!!!

I still have these books. Had them in my hands yesterday as we were packing up to move to the new house. Great stuff.

TSR's Marvel Super-Heroes RPG: The Original Awesome Mix

I played the HECK out of this back in the 80s when it came out. I still have all my stuff for it & have played it as recently as a few months ago. I have more hours logged playing TSR Marvel than probably any other RPG. Great stuff!

    Meet a Professional Game Master

I think it's great that this gentleman & a few other individuals are now able to do something like this. If he has developed his craft to the point where people are willing to pay him in order to benefit from his services, more power to him. I think this also speaks to the continuing...

Starfinder Here's the cover of INCIDENT AT ABSALOM STATION, the first adventure in Starfinder's DEAD SUNS AP!

I very much agree with David. Dialing back the release schedule seems like a wise move. I'd be very curious to hear about feedback they've been getting regarding the earlier release schedule. What % of Pathfinder players were completing each adventure in one month & were ready for the next one?

Which official 5E adventures have you played through?

Started Lost Mine back in September of 2014. Finished it & moved the group from there to Tyranny. I shortened up Tyranny a bit because I wanted the same group of PCs to do Princes, which we're in now. We're about 80% done with Princes, & that group plans on starting Curse of Strahd with new...

A Look At EN World's Stats & Demographics

I'm 44 & I started playing in the early 80s. I'm very pleased to see the growing younger demographic, as I would have assumed that my age group would certainly be the largest. Instead, there are two groups larger. That bodes well for the future of the rpg hobby & the next generation of rpg-ers.

Tales From The Yawning Portal - 7 Classic Dungeons Updated To 5E!

I'm thrilled with this. Glad to have some shorter adventures, even if they're 5e reskinning of some classics. Fascinated to hear how the upcoming Adventurer's League season will work in light of this.

    Dragon+ Issue 11

Left to my own devices, every bit of art on the walls of my house would be big prints of Mike Schley maps.

Classic D&D of All Eras Back In Print

I am absolutely thrilled about this development. Super excited to see the PoD-available catalog expand in the near future. I was thrilled when WotC gave us the option of "Here's your free Elemental Player's Companion PDF, & here's a print-on-demand option if you prefer it." This is a move...

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana: Revenant Subrace, Monster Hunter, and Inquisitive

I think the revenant serves more use as a DM tool to temporarily restore dead characters to life, rather than as a player option. And I agree that it should be considered undead. But I like it & I think it's cool. An interesting application would have been to have a character slain in the...

Green Ronin Joins WotC and Paizo on ICv2's Fall 2015 Chart

I'm genuinely happy for Green Ronin. I think their AGE system is great, & I'm very pleased to see that other people think so too. If I weren't playing so much D&D 5e right now, I'd probably be playing either Dragon AGE or Fantasy AGE.

The Day Has Come! It's An OGL! And A Store To Buy & Sell D&D 5E Products!

Fantastic news. I'm working today so I haven't had a chance to read the whole SRD yet, so I may be a bit premature in my following claim: This may well be the biggest & best news in D&D in 2016. I sincerely hope it proves to be exactly that.

STAR WARS Fan Created Material For Games That Aren't Star Wars

What is the story on those 3 different titles in FFG? Are they covering different time periods in the canonical history? Same game system otherwise?
