No Hope for Scout and Monster Hunter Fighter and artificer wizard

Magical healing is part of it? I think the short answer is that the original conception of the ranger was influenced, at least in part, by the portrayal of Aragorn in LotR and as the most famous character called a ranger he's been the archetype. Drizzt changed this a bit but he wasn't invented...

    The Monetization of D&D Play

One thing I've seen is game shops charging for table space but allowing that for store credit - so it's $5 but if you buy something that week (minis or dice or a PHB or whatever) then that $5 is part of that. That makes a lot of sense to me as it's getting you in the shop, keeping up the hobby...

No Hope for Scout and Monster Hunter Fighter and artificer wizard

It's not an official message board! I guess my point is that the rules exist and are out there. If you're happy with them, then it's great and you can continue. If it's not then I guess it could be disappointing. Otherwise if you're not playing AP then I don't see how it matters.

D&D 5E concentration in 5th edition, whats your fix?

I think if you just look at a list of spells regardless of class and which ones have concentration and which don't, you'll get a misleading impression of how the mechanic works. Having played in games with a few different spell casters now, it seems that some classes have concentration heavy...

Coming in May: Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes! [UPDATED!]

I'm a bit grumpy as I was keen to get the limited edition cover but the game shop I would normally get it from is charging A$80 for it as opposed to A$60 for the normal cover. I'm sure he'll seel them but I thought the point of the covers was that you could only get them in game shops and so...

Coming in May: Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes! [UPDATED!]

I use a vague hack of the 3e FR cosmology for my games. I never really liked the Great Wheel as it tied too closely to alignment which has never been anything more than a guide for us. Edit: What was up with my spelling?

D&D 5E The "Stop Trying to Impose Your Playstyle" Argument

This is sort of besides the point but I'm interested in the response. I assume that psionics won't be a book of it's own but instead a section within a book on alternate systems or soemthing similar. Would you not buy a book jsut because it contains a class and some spells you don't like? This...

Coming in May: Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes! [UPDATED!]

I'm expecting mroe or less this except with class options and maybe feats as well. Chapter 2 will have more than just races.

Coming in May: Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes! [UPDATED!]

For the rule based books I quite like the names as at the table we can refer to Volo's, Xanthar's etc. It's more useful that PHB2 and, as the design team have pointed out, far less confusing.

Coming in May: Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes! [UPDATED!]

Obviously other people's mileage differs here but at the end of the day I don't care what it's called, or what it's cover looks like (or how many there are although I think the different covers are a nice thing for the gaming shops). What I care about is if the books are useful for me and my...

    D&D 5E Announcement coming February 6th

Ok, that's more convincing than I thought it would be. I'm not totally convinced however - I'm just not sure people use dragons enough to justify a book like this, DMs at least. The PC ideas look cool though! Draconians, Dragon domain!

    D&D 5E Announcement coming February 6th

I think people would say they want a dragon book but I am trying to imagine a crunchy book that appeals to players and DMs focused on dragons that would have a broad appeal and failing. What would a book like that look like?
