    Characters- Ongoing Druid Debate

Druid Love Sometimes I think I am the only one that has Love for the Druid; to day this thread got to page 3. - - Sad panda. Speaking of Pandas, I don't think they would be a terrible Wild shape form. has there been a printing with one or does anyone have a homebrew stated up?

Battle Jump and Leap Attack combo?

What does Battle Jump say (I don't own the book), I might be able to comment then.

    Construct (or warforged) livestock

They don't sleep but are still subject to forced march rules for the purposes of non-leathal damage. kind of dumb, but they can walk themselves unconcious, in which case the don't wake up unless "Healed" by a mage etc as they don't recover hit points as normal living characters do.

    Construct (or warforged) livestock

well, if you are looking to play a palidin, then what i didn wouldn't work for you, but I took levels in Juggernaught so to be immune to non -eathal damage, and an everburning torch. I had harnesses made to fit me and purchased a wagon. I hauled the party around. I turned out to be faster...

    Warforged Bonus languages

Edit: This is kind of off the subject, but . . . original: Warforged and Wizard, despite their coolness, is generally a bad Idea anyway, -just because of his innate arcane spell failure chance. If you want to play a "caster" type, a much better option is the psion. no ASF and no penalty to...

Some questions on Smaller sized twohanded weapons

I just read my own quote. ::shakes head:: I really can't spell. At any rate that is an interesting way of dealing with the issue. too bad there is nothing core to explain it. However, in the interest of keeping it simple, my group will p/b go with our original interpretation(as I don't DM...

Arcane Spell Failure (and reducing it)

You might check out Complete Arcane. there is the Warmage (base class) that reduces ASF, if you were going that way then the Warlock is better. light armor has no ASF for invocations, i think an argument could be made for wands, staves, and scrolls. that means Mith. Breastplate. apart from...

Some questions on Smaller sized twohanded weapons

As far as I can tell, it is considered inappropriate. for example, a small longspear would be a 1 handed simple weapon (in hands of med creature) and would be able to be used at a -2 penalty to attack, and only being able to strike opponents 10' away. -BA

Some questions on Smaller sized twohanded weapons

3 Fair enough. I suppose i didn't catch the "of appropriate size" thing. --I should have as you already quoted it once before my last post. eh, That's what I get for posting when I'm not awake. I understand that you have a reputation of being always right, so it is a pleasure to have diolgue...

Does the Fireball spell expand in a narrow corridor?

Silly? perhaps (I know about Tesla), but It could add a something else. . . different. :D Would anyone else say that the feat idea would be overpowered?

    Must a Coup-de-Grace deal damage?

Word. addendum: there was no doubt in 3.5 pre errata but the wording was changed post errata. I'm glad I've never had to deal with it, I think my group would handle it the same as you had explained. also it would help if WotC actually had a set definition of "Attack" instead of having the 5+...

Cloud Mind... Is this a useless power?

my Favorite trick is that a character with a concentration check of 14+ can always suppress their displays because you can use a concentration check on a skill. concentration is a skill, DC 15.

    Must a Coup-de-Grace deal damage?

Now, Don't get me wrong. obviously Camarath is making a strong argument, but, just like mine, there are "holes" in both arguments that I feel can not be wholely filled because of holes in the rules, not the arguments. another thing to consider is that this Realy won't come up that often due to...

    Must a Coup-de-Grace deal damage?

The Def for DR States: "DAMAGE REDUCTION Some magic creatures have the supernatural ability to instantly heal damage from weapons or to ignore blows altogether as though they were invulnerable. The numerical part of a creature’s damage reduction is the amount of hit points the creature...

Some questions on Smaller sized twohanded weapons

My only quam with that statement is, that as I understand it reach is a property- doubles normal reach. not to say give spacific distances to which it can strike. of course then there is "strike adjacent enemies" that is a different property. So, for example, you could have an ogre, that...

    Must a Coup-de-Grace deal damage?

The reason why "injury" would need to be defined is that it is a term used to define "damage" and ["injury"] could mean "when there is a successful attack roll and/or an attack hits." Being that the definitions of "Damage Dealt" and "Damage Reduction are contradictory or at least inconsistent...

    Must a Coup-de-Grace deal damage?

At least we agree on something

    Must a Coup-de-Grace deal damage?

In order to truely get the right answer to this question, it seems we have come down to the definition of the term " injury" from that we could discern how damage is classified, meaning- at what point does DR kick-in? Well, after careful examination of the DR entry. I found the line that...

    Must a Coup-de-Grace deal damage?

from two posts ago, may not have been noted: edit: querry: What are you trying to say? Which "term" are you speaking of directly? You have a quote from PHB 307 followed by a definition of "Damage". . . Are you talking about the . . ."survives the damage" part? I suppose we now need a definiton...

    Must a Coup-de-Grace deal damage?

So, Hypothetical: warforged, helpless, Adamantine Body Raven deals 4 damage (can't deal 3 per crit), you would agree that it would still need to make a save DC 14, right?
