    D&D 4E Anyone make a Binder class for 4E?

To the "players keep their class features, make vestige features augments" bit, I say neigh. If you're handing out powers which are of a specific role what use are they if they don't give you faetures to really take advantage of them? I think keeping your own features should remain the privilege...

    D&D 4E Anyone make a Binder class for 4E?

I like the wiki, good move guys. I've been at work, so it's nice to see people are on the ball ;-P. Um, oh, right, I was under the impression that we weren't just giving Pact Augmentations away (though that may not be a bad thing), but that you actually couldn't even gain Pact Augmentations...

    D&D 4E Anyone make a Binder class for 4E?

Okay, so it seems like what we need now is to compile a list of what we've come up with at this point, see what we have, see if it all works properly and move on from there.

    Overland Flight and PC Races

good point with the eladrin teleport, I hadn't even thought of that. Seems like overland flight should be a-ok then. Yeah, I'm giving one of the races of my setting overland of 7 with encounter flight and then another overland of 5 with no encounter flight power (flimsy faerie wings).

    Homebrew Race (Needs Feedback)

lol, right... so it's good at everything... sorta... :-P Looks like Ranger, Wizard, Cleric/Fighter (those two are a big toss up) are the classes that would benefit the most from this race and that seems to make sense in my head for their fluff. Now I just need to come up with a nice snappy name...

    Overland Flight and PC Races

So, it seems like Flight has been seperated into two speeds, Combat Flight and Overland Flight. How balanced/unbalanced would it be to give a race Overland Flight of some number but no Combat Flight speed?

    Homebrew Race (Needs Feedback)

Yes, it still has penalties but the penalties are EASY to surmount almost entirely and it does get a number of interesting a unique benefits. Oh, and I fixed the regeneration of Made in the Shade. It's still nice, but it has it's limits.

    D&D 4E Anyone make a Binder class for 4E?

Required feats for ultimate Binder hotness: Ritual Caster, Augmented Pacts, Vestige Versatility Augmented Pacts would be the feat that allows you to gain Pact Augmentations. The Pact Augmentations will be tweaked to remove most of the attack/damage boosters, but to include Augments that allow...

    Homebrew Race (Needs Feedback)

Heh, glad you like the fluff at least :-P Um, okay, here's my stab at the PC version. Any that are more odd than this are going to have to be hgher level monster stats. Adventuring Pantherfolk These Pantherfolk have developed methods of survival out in the harsh radiance that their less...

    Homebrew Race (Needs Feedback)

Yes, flavorwise they are definitely an oddity. I am actually thinking of putting in one more feature that will help to balance the crazy penalty bonus thing once and for all. The thing is, these guys live in dense forests where it is almost perpetually low-light or totally dark. Whatever it is...

    Homebrew Race (Needs Feedback)

:hmm: Yes, it's unorthodox. I said that. Usually, yes, but giving this class a penalty to charisma it needed an extra +1 to intimidate or I might as well have not given it at all. True, not for any currently published PC races, but this is a race that literally can't survive in direct...

    D&D 4E Anyone make a Binder class for 4E?

Yeah, just thinking of it as a collection of feats seems to be very appropriate. So it looks like the general consensus is that, at the base, as long as you have the Ritual Casting feat you use the ritual as I have written above. Then there are what 3 or 4 other feats you can pick up to really...

    Homebrew Race (Needs Feedback)

I'm really not even sure what to call the race yet, but they are for a Campaign Setting I'm working on at the moment. They are a race of pantherfolk that are universally black furred and black skinned. They need light to survive, but they are badly damaged by direct bright sunlight. I need...

    D&D 4E Anyone make a Binder class for 4E?

It takes 10 minutes, and yes some cash, but if he wanted he could remain bound all day if he wanted. In my original plans Vestiges would continue to grant more powers as they went up in levels, just as players continue to gain a larger cache of powers themselves. @Eldritch Lord: I like some of...

    Power to the players!

Very cool system. I'd consider adding in some small mechanical benefit to players that choose not to use the points. I have no real idea what this could be, but it should be something crunchy for players that ARE more dungeon crawlery and don't pay much heed to their character's backstory and/or...

    The Mastermind, Martial Controller?

    D&D 4E Anyone make a Binder class for 4E?

The reason I think completely replacing all of the player's powers with the Vestige's powers is a good idea is because the pacts are so versatile and because they allow a Fighter to become a Controller for as long as he wants, and whenever it is needed. If the pacts only replaced the highest...

    D&D 4E Anyone make a Binder class for 4E?

So here is how I envision vestiges to be constructed under the ritual system. Tell me what you think. If a lot of people like it we can start converting vestiges. Amon, Level 1 Binding Role: Controller Features: Firebrand, Burning Desire, Darkvision Firebrand: Whenever you deal fire damage to...
