I hope good times were had by all. Sounds like a blast!

Although, everyone does need a hobby... ;)

Critical Role Announces Two New RPGs

Gut instinct: Hard Pass. Love Critical Role and the folks involved with it but I've had enough of all the "knee-jerk" reactions everyone seems to be falling back on after the hiccup from WotC. To me, it's like seeing someone struggling out in the water and tossing them an anchor.

Gloomhaven RPG Will Have More Than 600 Miniatures

I loved minis back in the day. Now, at my age, I simply don't want to be bothered with all that inane clutter anymore. Just too much "stuff."

American fast food chain Arby's releases polyhedral dice set (for the third time)

Personally, I LOVE Arby's. They have a great Turkey, Ranch and Bacon sandwich, they are the only place to get "Jamocha" shakes and their Greek-style gyro is out of this world! I love these polyhedral dice too but they sure are hard to chew and keep breaking my teeth. ;)

D&D 5E Lord of the Rings 5E Is Coming Next Month

How many versions of LotR are they going to try and make?

News Digest for the Week of March 31

I have to say I really am not a big fan of that isometric style of VTT. I always seemed a big awkward to me especially for some of the door and window angles. Not to mention this seems way too much like just another video game. But I don't want to play a video game. I want to play D&D...

D&D 5E WotC: Why Dark Sun Hasn't Been Revived

Sounds like a great load of crap on the part of WotC in my opinion. It's OK to be respectful but frankly I don't need my little fantasy games to be preaching to me regarding social behavior.

Rumours: WotC Announcement Today; Insider Email Reveals Plans

Sorry to add fuel to the fire but I think we were most definitely heading for disaster as it became more "mainstream" to attempt to make a living off a game that was initially intended to simply be a pastime or hobby. I'm not looking for people to start throwing a snit but I feel this opinion...

WotC Ex D&D Beyond Staffers Criticize Relationship With WotC

That is really disappointing to hear. It does seem that some folks at WotC must think their "naughty word don't stink." And even worse in my opinion is all this behind the scenes drama is known by only a few insiders. The consumer is left high and dry. They will continue to gladly accept our money...

D&D 5E Tyranny of Dragons New Cover Reveal

And I am typically described in real life as an eternal optimist so what does that say? It is a simple fact that SOME consumers, particularly the younger set, don't always read all the fine print or details. Let the buyer beware of course but that goes without saying that it does happen. I...

D&D 5E Tyranny of Dragons New Cover Reveal

That is some fantastic color art I have to admit. Love it. Several issues still exist however in my opinion. I've played through this adventure several times as a player. It is not the most well-written in my opinion especially in the later half. It is so easy to be lost with no idea what...

D&D 5E February's Keys from the Golden Vault Appears on Amazon

I have to kind of wonder. When "Waterdeep: Dragon Heist" was released, there was quite a bit of feedback from consumers disappointed that the storyline didn't include an actual "heist." Perhaps WotC is going overkill by now releasing a book with nothing BUT heists? Give the people what they...

D&D 5E Keys from the Golden Vault

Per the Amazon website for this upcoming product in February 2023: Keys From the Golden Vault is a Dungeons & Dragons adventure anthology with a heist at the center of every tale. This is all that is known for this book at this time.

    Dragon Reflections #61

If I remember correctly, #61 was the first issue I bought. I remember it because of the cool article on the gnomish deities but also because of the mini-adventure "Quest for the Midas Orb" which I played with my buddies at high school.

The Original Star Frontiers Retro Review

I remember when this first came out. I was so intrigued by the art work I had to get it. It was a nice edition overall. My complaint was the lack of supporting materials. There were so few adventures published it really wasn't worth my time and effort as a young kid to bother. So I didn't.

WotC Dragonlance: Everything You Need For Shadow of the Dragon Queen

It is only natural to wonder how much of this will basically be "The Rise of Tiamat" Revisited (except now we call her Takisis).

WotC Dungeons & Dragons Adventurer Is A New UK Magazine To Teach D&D

I always think dice towers are a complete waste of money but the one they are offering looks VERY cool!

    Dragon Reflections #60

I remember this issue fondly. Loved the "Elven Point of View" and the article about the Seldarine. I was always enchanted by the art work of the various elven deities.
