    Phaerimms of the Forgotten Realms

Well, I used dancing mushroom in my campaign once when we all had taken amphetamine before the game :) I really cant build a good atmosphere and a scary setting with oozes. Yuan-Ti seems cool though

    Vampiric Blood Slave/Ghoul (not flesheater)

Re: actually... I dont have that book :( I will probably write up some kind of template so it can be used with inexperienced people or "newly converted" people.

    Phaerimms of the Forgotten Realms

YEAH!!! I was starting to wonder if people really used beholders and oozes in their campaigns, heck they never EVER remove those monsters from the Forgotten Realms. WHEN WILL THEY STOP TORTURING US WITH THESE ABBERATIONS!!!!!!!!!!! BEGONE

Sneak Attacks in the Rogue Class, WHY?

Re: Yes Long post there ;) A good read, you seem to point out exactly the things I have been thinking for the past few weeks. Forgotten Realms is very weird now, the population is ridicolous. I agree with the CRPG thing, it seems like wizards tried hard to get younger gamers into the hobby so...

    Yeah, absolutely.

Sneak Attacks in the Rogue Class, WHY?

Just because I like the forgotten realms setting doesnt mean everyone in the setting is running around like crossdressers with 5 rings on every hand, necklaces of protection and hurling inflatable castles all over.

Sneak Attacks in the Rogue Class, WHY?

No I havent tried Fudge. I also like the d&d settings ofcourse, forgotten realms, greyhawk, ravenloft.. yum :) An interesting thing I wish to know though, do any of you use Deadly Puddings, oozes and abberations/beholders in your campaigns?

    Vampiric Blood Slave/Ghoul (not flesheater)

Ok, I know about the vampire template and all. But what if someone is a bloodslave to a vampire (drinks his blood, but havent tasted his, or hasnt transformed into a vampire yet and acts as the vampires willing "slave"). Im thinking of making either some wierd Feat with bonuses AND drawbacks, a...

    More Skillpoints

Re: Re: More Skillpoints I actually introduced this system when people in an old campaign got 20-25 in all their skills. It seemed that I had to raise the DC to like 30 or something to make it "exciting" and I felt kind of bad adjusting the DC after the characters and not after the situation...

Sneak Attacks in the Rogue Class, WHY?

Thank you for your kind words. I am glad that I am not the only one on this board that despises "diabloesque-gaming" ;) Still I remind all of you out there that Im not picking on anyone that IS using loads of magic-items etc, if that IS your prefered style of playing then that great. I just hope...

Sneak Attacks in the Rogue Class, WHY?

Wow that looks mighty interesting, a class that has a primary focus on cooperating with other characters. Great! Thank you, I will introduce this class to my campaign :D

Sneak Attacks in the Rogue Class, WHY?

Sorry, I didnt speak for all of you. I meant to write that simplicity is what I like about d&d. Sorry for the misunderstanding :)

Sneak Attacks in the Rogue Class, WHY?

An Assassin in my eyes does NOT equal a Ninja, but maybe thats just me?

Sneak Attacks in the Rogue Class, WHY?

Learning "a bit of magic" seems absurd, wouldnt it take ALOT of hard work and training to learn "the art". I see magic as something very special, something that few can learn. But isnt the Expert class alot worse than all the PC classes, Im not sure if I remember correctly but doesnt the Expert...

Sneak Attacks in the Rogue Class, WHY?

Yes alot of groups indeed find that too much combat becomes boring, but d&d is a good system WHEN combat occurs, the only thing that bugs me about the system is that all the classes is to focused on combat, if you want to make a pacifistic priest the book tells you to take the Cleric class...

Sneak Attacks in the Rogue Class, WHY?

The bard isnt banned because it is too powerful, it is banned because the idea that bards are magicians is absurd. magic and spells should belong to wizards and sorcerers. Its PLAIN silly that assassins for example get spells!!! Ive already explained my points about the NPC classes though if...

Sneak Attacks in the Rogue Class, WHY?

Well alot of campaigns considering Ive been playing d&d for the last 6 years, and before that I played alot of other fantasy RPGs (swedish though :)). Well, theoreticaly it should be the same amount of roleplaying regardless of levels, but it just seems to me that at higher levels, the rules...

Do gunpowder weapons have a place in d&d?

LOL, what a coincidence, I also have Gunpowder weapons from Lantan in my Forgotten Realms campagin. Each one with a signature/stamp of GOND on it. It uses complex alchemic powder though and kinda sucks. But they scare people ;) BOOM. Although Lantan in my campaign is forbidden to trade with...
