Knights of the Dinner Table Magazine

I've gotten at least one review I'm looking at. Some promises of more to come. As far as the Rants all I can say is it's a numbers game. If I sense more people are responding to a feature than opposed to it....? Well, it's a no brainer really. I'll keep running with what seems to be...

    HackMaster: The New Edition

Sure. But I think it would make a LOT of HackMaster fans unhappy. ;)

    HackMaster: The New Edition

Damn, Mark. How you holding up on hitpoints...? ;) Always good to see a lively debate on HackMaster. My stance -- diversity is a wonderful thing. The only thing a game needs to justify its existence is a an audience. And HackMaster certainly has that. So it's all good. I know Mark ships a...

    What WotC licenses remain?

umm... <<John Dille's granddaughter, Lorraine Williams,>> I'm assuming that would be YES. ;) Course thinking back (this was 1997/98) I think it was just the film rights she sold.

    What WotC licenses remain?

The Buck Rogers license came to TSR by way of Lorraine Williams. She sold the property to Disney (as I recall) just about the time TSR was sold to WOTC.

    What WotC licenses remain?

    Still in effect.

Now WotC has taken Dragonlance (merged)

Sorry this is late -- been at GAMA for the past five days. If somebody already pointed this out please ignore. We still have the option to put the D&D logo on Kalamar product. But we've chosen not to recently. Partly to see if anyone noticed. Partly to help build the Kalamar brand (looking out...

    Could Kenzer takeover Dragon?

You can find our guidelines here... http://www.kenzerco.com/Operiodicals/kodt/submission_guidelines.pdf Important thing to remember is we're an open door as far as submissions. If have an idea for a feature/article that's not covered in the guidelines you can still pitch it to us and we'll...

    Could Kenzer takeover Dragon?

All possible. Most of it would be dependent on freelancers supplying such material Something we already accept -- we just don't get many submissions along these iines. (something I'd like to see change). In the current issue (126) There's a an adventure (a Goodman Games Dungeon Crawl Classic)...

    Could Kenzer takeover Dragon?

Actually... it's 'official' because WotC approves everything we put the D&D logo on. So it's not a case of just slapping a logo on a manuscript and calling it D&D. And trust me -- it's no easy approval process. Changes/edits fly back and forth. One of the reasons Mark Plemmons is bald. ;)

    Could Kenzer takeover Dragon?

Just to add -- KODT has been a monthly product since November/December 1996. With no break in publication. Something we're very proud of. Occasionally the magazine runs a few weeks behind (usually after the gruelling summer con season) but we manage to get out 12 issues a year so it all...

    Could Kenzer takeover Dragon?

Just to clarify. In our case we had a very clear contract that specifically excluded ANY reprints. Electronic/Digital or otherwise. i.e. we weren't on the standard boiler plate contracts Dragon had and spent a good deal of effort negotiating those exceptions. With trade paperbacks/compilations...

Wierd Pete's lament in KODT #116 - is it true???

Sometime in the next 3 to 6 issues I'm guessing. Although hints/conversations (and a few one-panel strips) leading to the build-up of the story arc have been appearing the last few issues.

Wierd Pete's lament in KODT #116 - is it true???

Hey all. Somebody steered me toward this thread. Nice to see Weird Pete being quoted. As pointed out KODT (and Pete) are a parody of gaming and the people who play (and make) them. As such I take my ideas I find them -- day to day experiences/life. Personally I don't think table top RPGs are...
