How do you get involved in your character ?

I agree. Our prime DM likes to come up with quests and story lines on his own. With no input by the players, no one really does much other than kill monsters and take their stuff. I've tried to come up with backstories and motivations for my own characters, but the DM hasn't included them in his...

Good Medium size creature for Polymorph?

For polymorph, I liked the Baku and the Jackalwere. Both have hands, so you can continue to cast spells. Jackalwere is better for combat, but the Baku is good for mobility, since it flies.

    Adventure Name Question

I have something like that. It is called "House on Hangman's Hill". What is the secret of the House on Hangman's Hill? On the Dead know, and they aren't talking.

New GM with new players. Best adventure?

Oh, I loved the Village of Hommlet, though I DM it using version 1. After my players ran through the written material as is. I repopulated it with new monsters, and had new critters in the nearby forest.

Help me with D&D Lore: Beneath the Waves

Well, I ran the first adventure this past week. Character generation took about an hour longer than normal. But I was pleasantly surprised they I did both encounters that I had planned. It turns out the every person choose a different race. We've got a Nixie Summoner, Karkanak Fighter...

Help me with D&D Lore: Beneath the Waves

That sucks that they backtracked like that. I'd be royally pissed if my group did that to me. I just mentally solidified my first campaign. It will be called 'the plague of the Boggarts'. At 1/3 CR I knew I wanted to start with them. They can level up, attack mounted, and envenomed weapons. It...

Help me with D&D Lore: Beneath the Waves

I cleared it with them first. I knew that running an aquatic game would require significant effort on my part. No point having wasted effort.

Help me with D&D Lore: Beneath the Waves

You don't need abovair technology. Most items are not interchangeable anyways. The surface stuff gets waterlogged and falls apart in the water and the undersea stuff dries and decays in the air. Just about anything that can be done in the air, can also be done in the water. For forging, some...

Help me with D&D Lore: Beneath the Waves

Omigawd! So am I. I am going to be launching my aquatic game this coming week. I'll be using the Pathfinder Rules for undersea gaming called Cerulean Seas. I'm nervous and excited about it. I've created my own Players Handbook and improved some of the badly written rules in CS. Plus, I built six...

    Sharks frenzy

That's a really good point. If a shark is a mile away and double moves toward the blood in the water, then it will take about 4.5 minutes for it to show up.

    Sharks frenzy

I guess I was really asking how likely it is realistically for sharks to show up. But you have an interesting idea.

    Sharks frenzy

Hello I am just putting the finishing touches on a fully aquatic pathfinder campaign. I have one issue that I'm still grappling with. In combat, a lot of blood is spilled from regular combat or from bleeders. As we know sharks are attracted to blood, they can smell it a mile away. My...
