I have seen a Fighter 1 / Hexblade 4 / DD x do very well running around in heavy armor with full BAB and hp before entering the class gives a very strong tank fighter that had almost no spell casting.

I keep all of my campaign notes in a very handy little tool called Treepad which is like a combination of a note pad and a file structure. It can also export out to a webpage quite nicely meaning that updating is almost no effort beyond keeping my own notes up to date. :)

Just to toss in my voice to those above championing the twin processors... I use opterons at work as well and those things fly as server processors, in fact we have one as a SQL box. :) Also if you have two processor heavy applications like PHP and SQL then twin processors are the way to go...

Powergaming can also happen in response to the DM killing or near killing players repeatedly. Nobody likes to die, so they take steps to make it harder. Of course then the DM can end up just making everything just that little bit harder again ...

I think the Gith were created for DnD and first appeared in the original Fiend Folio. As a side note about the Monsterous Humanoid, Humanoid and Giant part. Goliaths from Races of Stone are 1HD Monsterous Humanoids, while the almost identical Half-Giants are 1HD Giants.

Less used books get put on book shelves organized by game then company (for d20). Commonly used stuff like the core 3.5 books sit in a pile that gets lugged between the kitchen table (for playing) and my computer. A books worth is measured by its weight along with how much it's used. :D
