    Vin Diesel plays D&D

I discovered this right around the same time Pitch Black came out. I think its great that the person who will likely become the next major action star plays. Vin, if you're lurking under a different identity, we would love to publish a book written by you

    Advertising/Marketing for D&D/d20

Adam really ISN'T JOKING. If you look in the brand new Dungeon magazine, you'll see our ad on the inside cover on the Polyhedron side. While I'm not going to disclose how much we paid for that ad, I will say that its a fraction of what I was quoted as a WotC insider for the same ad. They're...

[Necromancer] Gygax's Necropolis Back from the Printer

I am very much looking forward to this book. I own the original, and when 3rd edition came along, the first thing that went through my mind was that I couldn't wait for them to start converting old adventures to 3E. Necropolis is an incredible adventure, and it will be so great to have it...

    John Wick NOT Dead

PR: The death of Darrin Drader Confirmed It is with great sadness that I announce my own demise. The police pulled my bloated filth ridden body from behind a house of ill repute last night. Gripped in my stiff, dead fingers were an empty bottle of JD (My 4th for the night), and a Player's...

    Redesigning and re-branding EN World

Morrus, I totally think you should write editorials. I'll make no secret of the fact that I hit your page at least once a day. The first time I hit it, I just want to read the news. Is there anything new or surprising from the industry? Is there anything cool on the fan sites? Has someone said...

How do I get my role-players to stop role-playing so much?

I think that what you need is a case of evil DMing. For the person who gave the 20 minute eulogy - applaud them for their creativity (no really, I've never experienced this myself). For the person that wants to become a vampire - that's great. Let them become one, and then take their character...

    Redesigning and re-branding EN World

Eric is right - there is a lot of this that happens. We're as guilty of this as the next publisher. Our internal policy regaarding this since about 8 months ago is to only ask to be in the news if something important has occurred. Some have confused this as being quiet when in fact we had a lot...

    Redesigning and re-branding EN World

OK, another idea. Don't post the news unless you think its important to the fans. Maybe new product coverage can become the mention that its out as opposed to a several post game of "its at the printers" and then "we just looked at it and its great," and then "Oh its available on our website...

    Redesigning and re-branding EN World

As a fan of this site first, and a publisher second, I have a few suggestions. First of all I don't care about the name one way or another. You can make it more utilitarian (3EN), or keep it as an homage to the original creator of the commuity. That's your call. Personally, Eric always did...

    Hammer & Helm

Actually crunch refers to rules specific stuff while cream refers to story related stuff, so what you are looking for is more cream. Personally I prefer a good mix, and I will buy books that are mostly cream if the subject matter is interesting - like Forgotten Realms products.

New site Idea the OGC exchange

As an issue that has stirred controversy, this is an issue that we have tried to steer clear of for sometime. I've always been of two minds on it - on one hand we should be making money first and foremost because we are a business, and on the other hand, isn't it cool to know that other...

    (OSSEUM) Expected September New Releases!

Nightfall, Thanks for noticing! We made a deal with Osseum several months back, but with our first printed release still a few months off, we didn't want to make any grand announcements at that time. Right now we are very comfortable and happy with our arrangement with Osseum, and we are...

Has anyone else had this problem with NW Nights?

Well, I'm sad to report that I tried this "fix" to no avail. It did not solve the problem. Instead, I'm removing the Hak file when I play a game I want to save, and putting it back in the Hak folder when I need to use something with this tile set. Hopefully Bioware will get this little bug taken...

Has anyone else had this problem with NW Nights?

Alright, I found the answer to this. It is a known bug, but finding it isn't easy. At http://www.neverwinterhaven.com/downloads/ I found the following: Well found a workaround at least which should do the job until Bioware sort this *bug* out. I placed the .itp files I took out out of the .hak...

Has anyone else had this problem with NW Nights?

Actually I've looked over the support at the Bioware site, and have found very little to be of help. Most of the corrupt game issues have to do with it hanging at 95%. This isn't that issue. Trying to find a specific piece of information at NWVault is like trying to find a needle in a haystack...

Has anyone else had this problem with NW Nights?

Thanks, but this is happening after updating to 1.2. And, if a moderator wants to move this to the software forum, please do.

Has anyone else had this problem with NW Nights?

I donwloaded the Curse of Anubis module, and installed the Hak Pack that goes with it. The module runs fine, but now every time I try to save, the save game file is corrupt. I'm assuming this problem has to do with the Hak files rather than the module, since I've had numerous new modules...

    Major WotC Announcement At Origins?

Well, as long as Erik is willing to admit it, so am I. I'm not too far away from Turner's point of view on some things. I'm not about to impose my beliefs on others though.

    Major WotC Announcement At Origins?

I wouldn't be at all upset if Peter Adkison buys D&D. Keep in mind that if this happened, this would mean huge changes for me personally... but I would be willing to see it happen. Ted Turner...? I just have a hard time conceiving of the whole notion... which must mean its true. I knew I...

Companies Fans would like to see Interlock

That was Disneyland Me talking. It would be cool to see, but I could also see all of the mentioned issues occurring as well. Nevertheless, it is cool that publishers are starting to coordinate their products a bit, and at least discussing more ambitious works publicly. :)
