I have to disagree, Dedra's arc was quite narratively satisfying, it demonstrates that fascism destroys even its most ardent supporters. Dedra is shown to be a true believer. And despite that, Syril, her and Partagaz are crushed by the very system they support.

I've been a big fan of Popcorn initiative. I like how it allows some strategy and is more collaborative, I find set initiative causes players to check out when their turn is done. There's interest among my friends to try out the system. Mind you, we've been in this "we should get together and play something" holding pattern for over a year so who knows if anything will come of it.
