I feel that way about Ghosts of Saltmarsh. Ran two groups through it kind of simultaneously but now I want to run it a third time with my new homebrew rule set and with the experience of the first two times.

Personally, I’d happily play in any home brew 5e D&D in-person campaign with a good DM whether based on an established setting or module/adventure path or not.

I went with 1 1st and 1 3rd. Both punch above their weight and I can still cast a 2nd level spell with the additional 3rd level slot if I need to, while 4th level spells feel less versatile than 3rd or 1st level spells, even if more powerful.

I have always ruled you cannot target a creature you can’t see with a ranged attack. Seems pretty simple to me. I have seen darkness used effectively by both sides, nonetheless. 🤷‍♂️

I prefer a setting that leans towards the grounded, where the PCs (and some NPCs) are the special ones. Yes, people know magic exists, but it should remain "magical" and be about exploring the contradictory seeming mysteries of the cosmos by different means, not as a codifiable set of universal...

The closest I have come was homebrew D&D setting where all classes were clerics who used one of the different six stat as their spellcasting ability depending on their choice of god 18 gods.

I stopped using FB not because of the people I disagree with but mostly because of the people that I do agree with. . . or maybe it is more accurate to say, "people who want similar outcomes" rather than "agree with," as that is a little too broad.

I guess the question is, are one or two people you have on block dominating that page of the thread or do you have half of ENWorld blocked? [no need to actually answer that question]
