What does the Artificer, Seeker and Runepriest need?

I think artificers are already so similar to bards that they probably work 'cleanest' mechanically just being rolled into that class. The flavor is a bit of a problem, though.

What does the Artificer, Seeker and Runepriest need?

I was always bothered by the fact that runepriests were a divine class with no access to Channel Divinity stuff, but I'm not sure having it would actually help them.

April and Beyond: Actually full of things most people will like!

I find the complaints about the fiction particularly interesting when set next to the praise for the Wandering Tower, which seems very clearly inspired by the Fritz Leiber short story "The Jewels in the Forest", with a side of Michael Moorcock's "The Vanishing Tower". I don't read the D&D...

    The CB is still crappy

Never once had a display problem across multiple versions of multiple browsers on multiple OSes (Chrome, FF (multiple versions), IE8, on Windows Vista/32 and Windows 7/64). I'm thinking you may just have an unfortunate combination of browser/OS/browser plugin/something else buggy affecting it...

    Henchmen, Hirelings, Faith, and Heresy

Sure, the mountaintop hermit super rarity thing works fine for a lot of them. Not so much for the linkboy. He's spent years perfecting his torch holding just so. (But it still only goes 5 squares, so much for meditation.)

    D&D 5E (2014) Sneak look at 5E !

Yeah I don't buy it. They wouldn't be sinking cash into 4e digital initiatives if 5e was already in testing.

    Henchmen, Hirelings, Faith, and Heresy

Yeah I'm sure most of it is that 4e economics make my neck hurt in general, so seeing it cost 125,000g a day for Super Level 30 LinkBoy really makes me reach for the Advil. (And yes I know, why are you hiring a level 30 linkboy instead of a lower level one in the first place.) It's really one...

    Henchmen, Hirelings, Faith, and Heresy

Hirelings strike me as overly expensive for what you get out of them. 15g/day for a level 1 minion linkboy? I realize there's some 'prevent the group from just hiring 20 dudes' math going on here, but I don't know if I'll be using that stuff as-is.

Are the new Essentials Classes too powerful?

You know I think I may have been thinking of an aura-specific rule rather than penalties in general, come to think of it. I'll have to double check later.

Are the new Essentials Classes too powerful?

Per the Rules Compendium, penalties to the same thing don't stack, so you can't stack up the -2 from marking with the -4 from break the spirit, etc. Just apply the worst.

    Design & Development - Necromancy & Nethermancy

Yeah, the summon appears to be a bit of a special case since it functions as a permanent pet unlike other wizard summons.

    Design & Development - Necromancy & Nethermancy

Original wizards can still take the necromancer build powers. They just won't have any implement-specific bonuses on them.

    DDI Monster Builder

The only real thing they did wrong with this is mischaracterizing it as a launch instead of a feature-incomplete beta, IMO.

    General Monster Manual 3 Thread

I think the lore stuff has been a move in the right direction - the prior 2 books were terrible at including much other than the combat details of the monster. I am still vexed by the lack of a text description of what the darn things actually *look like*. Just providing art (and not for every...

Big combats take too much time for us.

You don't actually need to dice out all the back and forth between NPC guards and NPC bad guys, keep that stuff sort of off to the side and abstract it out a bit. If your players feel the need to run over and help the guards you can always shift that stuff into regular combat.

Monks & Weapons & Powers, oh my

I dunno about that. Is a dwarf warlock with a pact warhammer "hindered" by not being able to use his weapon damage dice? The powers do what damage they do because they were designed to do that much, I don't really see how this enters into the question at all.

Monks & Weapons & Powers, oh my

And the enhancement bonus, since monks can use their weapons as implements. You're not stuck carrying a weapon and a ki focus, unless you want to be.

    Order of events... Headman's chop!?

In both cases you only get the higher damage if the target is already prone when you hit them. The extra damage on prone thing in the case of the wolves is why you should always use a couple of em. :)

    OA's while phasing...

Phasing pretty explicitly doesn't give you any extra movement capabilities other than the ability to move through obstacles, which means you're still stuck moving on the regular old 2D grid. A burrow speed or a flight speed would be needed for you to do anything involving moving on the Z axis...

    Weapon and Implement Expertise

One thing I've been pondering is making them paragon feats, that go from +1 at paragon to +2 at epic. It tones them down slightly in comparison to other feats and it leaves more space in the heroic tier for people to play around with other stuff.
