    WotC Site Post 4E Release

Sorry, my age is showing. MasterTools was in my 3.0 PHB. eTools was what was finally released by CMP years after MasterTools cirlced the bowl for the last time. Not sure if Fluid had MT in their hands from day one, but my recollection is they did not. According to my Yahoo-fu, Fluid and...

    WotC Site Post 4E Release

Ok, first off, they "announced" it in a podcast and ampersand article. They didn't exactly, oh, I dunno, put it on their front webpage or anything. Or even on the D&Di page. Or recall all the fliers and promotional materials that claimed otherwise. Or even really, you know, TELL anyone in a...

    WotC Site Post 4E Release

Yeah, they sure did. That's why the promised digital and integral part of 4th ed was ready at launch.... oh wait, no it wasn't. Or did you mean they learned their lesson about trying to do software development in house? No, they still didn't outsource this one either. Hmm.. I guess they didn't...

    WotC Site Post 4E Release

Just like eTools, right? And when do we get this free beta, exactly? Next month? Two months? 6 months? A year? And since it's a beta, it'll be buggy as hell. You'd think they didn't know for over a year that 4th was being released on June 6th (D-Day, irony of ironies). Yay! not.

Why is 4e like World of Warcraft?

So, in a thread comparing 4th ed and WoW, your point is they are not the same because how aggro is determined isn't the same? The fact that 4th ed had added an aggro system AT ALL is a huge chunk of evidence that, yes, 4th ed IS more like an MMORPG than previous editions.

Why is 4e like World of Warcraft?

    1. Each class in WoW has three "Talent Trees", areas unique to each class that you can advance at each level past nine, each with tiers of advancement and you can mix and match each. Sound 4th ed familiar? 2. PC's matter, huh? Just like in the Forgotten Realms I'll bet. *roll* It's s MASSIVE...

Another Bookstore Releasing the Books Early

And when the people who sold you the books find out you broke an agreement that you voluntarily made with them to hold the books for a set release date, you don't get the next shipment of books from them, right? If you ran a bookstore and you got the latest Harry Potter book early, you'd just...

    Any gamers in Nashville, TN?

AFAIK, Nord's doesn't discount anything, ever, but their selection is akin to the Game Keep (but with less older stuff). The Great Escape (both downtown and in Madison) carries a decent selection of new releases, and if they don't sell, they are moved to a 25% discount box, then eventually a 50%...

    Any gamers in Nashville, TN?

Yes, yes there are gamers in Nashville. Enough to keep the Game Keep, Nord's and The Great Escape moving stock. At least, that's the rumor

    Serpent Men Minis?

Crystal Caste sells some of the em4 prepainted lines, but I'm not sure about the rest. IIRC, the shipping on those from the UK was very resonable, like 2-3 $US for about a dozen minis. You can try WarWeb though, they might carry them.

    Shadorun without the shadowrun rules

I say Savage Worlds. Their sci-fi toolkit has rules for cybernetics and net running which are very similar to Shadowrun, and their magic system is very customizable. It is the polar opposite of rolling tons of dice, and it is easy to add onto. It'd be my choice hands down.
