Spells which were not properly nerved...

By the time a cleric can cast Silence, the wizard can cast Silent Expeditious Retreat. Of course, a 3rd level wizard can cast, oh I dunno, about a dozen "win button" spells on the cleric first (Sleep, Web, Summon Swarm, Color Spray). Silence has been a mainstay for over 30 years and it hasn't...

Pathfinder 1E What I'd really like to see Paizo do with Pathfinder is...

While I am not exactly clamoring for a deluxe boxed set, I will offer my 2cp: 1) Rappan Athuk Reloaded had only 1000 units, and they sold out pronto at around $75 IIRC. 2) Instead of just throwing issues 1-6 of the Pathfinder AP in a box, it might be better to include just the adventure...

    Vital Strike Questions

Other than feedback in various errata-themed threads on their message boards (and updating their "official" errata) I don't think so. BUT they seem to be very active in such threads, so it's not that bad. Better than waiting for the monthly Dragon to come out and hope your question is in there!

    AD&D1 Monster Manual Comics

These are pretty awesome, thanks for sharing!

    Subtle Rule Changes

Yeah, I meant Greater Magic Weapon. But in any case, no one is dropping 315gp on an adamantine longsword and cleaving +4 weapons with it anymore. Especially giants with adamantine daggers and power attack.

    Subtle Rule Changes

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but instead of adding +2 Hardness and +10hp per +1 enhancement bonus, now it simply states that you can't damage a weapon unless the weapon you are sundering with has an equal or higher enhancement bonus. A VERY good reason not to get a +1 weapon with 4...

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Bestiary Preview II

The sheer ammount of thought and tweaking that apparantly has gone into the PRPG Beastiary makes me think that about half of the "analysis" (re: criticisms) that has been done over the new rules is baseless. We've been looking at the shadows on the wall and are about to finally be able to turn...

Are special manuevers even harder than they were in the Beta?

IF they hit you. I might have a problem with a high hp attacker just taking the AoO damage and getting the maneuver off without a hitch. This way you can't just burl your way into a maneuver without some training. CMB also includes many of these same sorts of bonuses, so it's not like the CMD...

    What has been fixed?

In the Bestiary Preview, for example, they have "quick" and "rebuild" versions of a few templates, with the fast being "quick and dirty" and useable on the fly by DMs, and the more comprehensive version being more accurate but more time consuming, presumably for use in game-prep. For example...

Channel Energy effects friend and foe?

Unless, of course, the evil cleric's allies are undead.

Channel Energy effects friend and foe?

It was meant to be used outside of combat as a means ot offsetting the "15 minute workday", but with Selective Channeling (and a decent Chr) paired with good field position, you can use it in combat without worrying about helping your enemies too much.

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Psionics (from Dreamscarred)

For good "old fashioned" psions, how about bringing back Primary, Secondary and Tertiary disciplines/devotions? Half or more powers must come from the Primary area, half or more of the remaining powers from the secondary, and the rest from a tertiary group. This makes Psions more thematicly...

    Subtle Rule Changes

It would, but in my years of DMing I nver saw anyone actually cast Acid Splash, so I forgot about it. I guess with the at-will cantrips rule, I should start paying attention again. That and sneak attack working with those spells (1d3 acid, 5d6 sneak attack, it's like a breakfast grapefruit...

Can a rogue sneak attack the ghost of a gelatinous cube?

Or, you could put a ghost IN a gelatinous cube..

Can a rogue sneak attack the ghost of a gelatinous cube?

I'm a little late to the party since Mr Jacobs has already replied, but I did find in the Bestiary Preview under the Swarm subtype entry it specifically listed immunity to sneak attack/precision based damage. So I guess the answer is "yes, you can sneak attack anything" unless the monster's...

And remember, nonlethal damage in excess of a character's full hit point total now converts to lethal damage instead of piling on into infinity (unless they regenerate).

Pathfinder 1E Why do you discuss Pathfinder on ENWorld instead of Paizo.com?

"Powered by vBadvanced CMPS v3.0.1" That and separate the business end of the boards from the game discussion end.

D&D 3.x A list of 3e problems and how they were tackled in PF

You must be tired from moving those goalposts so much. 1) you said skills got worse. They did not. Armor check penalties may or may not affect a given character based on that player's choice of armor. These are two separate issues. That armor hinders some skills in no way changes the fact that...

Pathfinder 1E RPG.net ripping Pathfinder apart

I just popped by that thread to see what they had to say, and they had 46 pages of vitriol, hatred, and just plain wrong assumptions. It may be intentionally steered toward negative impressions, but most of that stuff is beyond knuckle-dragging stupidity, it's maliciousness for no other reason...
