[AU/AE] Spell Cards and other play aids?

I'd most like to see cards with statblocks for the creatures from the Conjure Energy Creature spells, with the energy template already added in. Preferably with different versions incorporating the benefits of the Conjure Master and Improved Conjure Mastery feats.

    Arcana Evolved question

They fit together well, using the general guideline Varianor described. It's even simple to use both magic systems. The only tricky thing IME is deciding what to do about truenames, since they're an important concept in AE magic, but don't exist in D&D. There are three basic approaches. 1)...

Need your thoughts on prepainted miniatures.

Plastic. The more detailed sculpts that metal minis allow would be wasted on prepainted minis, which generally have only very basic paint jobs. Plus, they're easier to carry around, and hopefully cheaper. In addition to the monsters, I'd like to see boxes with many of the same creature. It's...

Any Feats to Give a Fighter or Paladin Spot as a Class Skill?

No it doesn't. It does make your cross-class skills cost only one skill point/rank, but cross-class skills are still capped at (level+3)/2. Of course, one level of a class that gives you Spot as a class skill will solve that problem.

    I hate cat-people, dog-people, lion-people, etc

I don't mind them when they're an NPC race and have a unique culture. But for some reason, it bugs me when they're a PC race. It also bugs me when they're animalistic for no good in-game reason. For example, as much as I love AU/AE, the there's something about the Litorians (lion men) that...

    Have Arcana Evolved, will tell...

The details of the errata and clarifications is up on Monte's site now.

    Info on M.Cook's AE "Transcendence?"

Interesting. I wonder if these are anything like the Substitution Levels mechanic in the "Races of" books, or the variants in UA.

C'mon, spill the beans! :D It's not like you're under an NDA (um, unless you are).

new monk feat, inspired by Jaker2003

Looks fine. There's a feat in BoED called Intuitive Attack which lets a character use his Wis bonus for attack rolls when using simple weapons and unarmed attacks. It's an exalted feat for some reason I can't fathom, but is otherwise equivalent.

    Have Arcana Evolved, will tell...

What's the Esoteric Mage PrC like? Are there any changes to the Mageblade? Could you give us some detail on what the new [Race] Mage feats and spell templates are like? Are there any new spells that allow shapechanging? Are there any changes in how Brandish Magical Might and the Programmed...

    Rate Constantine

I gave it a 7. It was enjoyable, and got much of the tone of the comics right, despite the cardboard cutout cast as Constantine. Spoilers below: Keanu got the bitter jaded aspects of Constantine right, but had none of the rakish charm, the sneering wit, or the massive charisma.

    Examples of Power Creep?

I completely agree with Shil. I also think that there are a lot of things that look like they're overly powerful in 3.5 which aren't in practice. Remember the huge uproar about the Mystic Theurge? And there are the occasional badly designed feat, spell, or prestige class, but I don't see it...

    Let's Talk Blue Rose

Those would be very nice indeed. It's a shame that Blue Rose didn't come out before 7th Sea d20. The setting would be perfect for the BR rules. I'd also like to see some extra "crunch" support. Stats for additional types of creatures, maybe some extra feats, and definitely additional arcane...

    Shaman vs. Spirit Shaman

While I like GR's Shaman's Handbook, I prefer the Ancestral Speaker class in Green Ronin's Corwyl book, which is like the Shaman updated to 3.5 with a few additional minor abilities. It gets more domains upfront, so its spell choice is less limited.

    Good "spirit world" material?

Green Ronin's Shaman's Handbook and Witch's Handbook (written by Steve Kenson) are also good sources about this sort of thing, though they focus a bit more on an otherworldly spirit world, rather than one that overlays the normal world.

Who are the most inventive game designers?

My favorites are Steve Kenson, Monte Cook, and Keith Baker. Steve Kenson has written the best modifications of the D20 system, in M&M, the Psychic's handbook, and the upcoming Blue Rose. But mostly I like his work because his writings on magic feel genuinely magical. The Shaman's, Witch's...

Arcana Unearthed - Mage Blade question

Taking 3rd level complex spells is definitely worth it. For a single feat, you gain access to dispel magic, invisibility, flight, sorcerous blast, and a bunch of other useful spells. 5th level is also a useful level. IMO it's not worth taking more than a couple feats for it though.

    Neil Gaiman: Badly Overated?

Not quite, considering that Cerebus evolved beyond a Conan pisstake almost a decade before Sandman began. Dave Sim has said since fairly early in the comic that it'll be limited to 300 issues, but I doubt that he had entire story arcs planned out that far in advance.

    Druid character -- need advice

Where's the Rapid Spell feat? I havn't heard of it, and I'll be playing a druidic summoner soon.
