[E.N.Pub] Secrets of Theurgy now out!

Now this sounds cool. Would any of the variants work for a Druid/Wizard? The core mystic theurge doesn't work well with druids.

    Calling All Canadians!

Yeah, that's always fun. I just thought of a couple other fun bits from Canadian political history: - The election press release labeling Dalton McGuinty "an evil reptilian kitten-eater from another planet." - Pierre Trudeau flipping the bird to a bunch of constituents at the side of his train.

West Chester/SE PA Area: Looking for a Savage Worlds Game

Hi, I don't know of any Savage Worlds games in the area, but I'm not too far from West Chester and if you want to put together a game I'd be interested.

    Calling All Canadians!

I was born in Edmonton, moved to Toronto when I was ten, and now am going to school in Philadelphia. Since I currently live in the States and have to put up with the patriotism and flag-waving, I'd say my favorite moment in Canadian history is beating the Americans in the war of 1812 and...

Half-orcs and why people think they are/aren't powerful

Exactly. Half Orcs aren't so much weak as they are boring. IMO balancing the strength bonus with the penalties to two stats is quite fair, but that's all they get. The lack of change to Half Orcs was one of my greatest disappointemnts with 3.5 (along with retaining the monk/paladin...

[Complete Divine] Radiant Servant of Pelor is too powerful.

Firstly, just because people complained about it doesn't make it true. There were also scads of peole who insisted even more vehenemtly that the mystic theurge was ridiculously overpowered, and experience has taught us that if anything it's slightly underpowered. Second, the difference in hit...

[Complete Divine] Radiant Servant of Pelor is too powerful.

The disciple of the sun feat does let a cleric do extra greater turnings, but at a cost of two turn uses instead of one. That at least is giving something up for the power. A RSoP does it for free, 3+cha times per day (ie. on all his turn attempts except the ones from greater turning.) That's...

Anyone ever stay at the Embassy Suites?

They're fantastic. Ambercon, a yearly convention in Detroit devoted entirely to the Amber diceless RPG (and various spinoffs) is held at an Embassy Suites. After gaming for years at a convention where all of the convention games are held in private suites or boardrooms, trying to game in a...

Need Advice for an Elven Cleric of Correllon

Don't bother multiclassing. As an elf you're already proficient in longsword and bows, and you get all the armor and shield proficiencies from Cleric. The extra bonus feat isn't worth the loss in spellcasting.

    The Size of Eberron

I'm not so sure. North America tapers off in the south and disintigrates into islands in the north. But even if it is even, much of North America is nigh-uninhabitable Canadian tundra, so Khorvaire probably has a lot more inhabitable land either way. This seems too big to me. Based on the...

    The Size of Eberron

It's small in circumference, but that's primarily because the oceans are small. The continents are HUGE. Khorvaire alone is twice as wide as North America, and it's the smallest continent on the planet.

How to defend the whole damn Forest!

You're wondering how to best protect a forested land? Have the Vietnam movies of the 80's and 90's taught you nothing?? ;)

    Neverwhere.... On DVD?!

It was. Neil Gaiman wrote the mini-series, then shortly afterward decided to write a novel of it.

What's the highest level PC you've advanced from 1st level in 3E/3.5E D&D?

So far, 4th level. I've played characters as high level as 21 in 3e, but they were all from campaigns that started in 2e.

Which class do you think is the strongest all around?

I voted druid. While they're slightly less powerfull that clerics overall, they're much more versatile. They aren't as good at healing, but have better attack spells. With wild shape, they are also the most flexible in terms of mobility and stealth. They also have enough skill points to be...

Eberron and the Book of Revelation

It's an interesting parallel, but a bit of a stretch IMO. It won't affect my campaign at all, but it's an intellectual curiosity. However... did you notice that after the three dragons appear and fight their cataclysmic battle, there proceeds a 10 million year age of demons, where demons and...

    War Mind Prestige Class

I would personally allow you to add the +1 manifester levels to War Mind, but it would only give you manifester levels, not new PPs or powers known.

    War Mind Prestige Class

Not exactly. You combine the manifester levels of psionic classes for determining power effects and PR penetration, but keep them seperate for determining the amount of PPs you can spend on a power. So in your example, all of your powers have a manifester level of 15 for penetrating PR and...

    [June] What are you reading?

I had much the same reaction to them when I first read them. However, once I got over the shock of them not being written in the same style as The Phoneix Guards I began to enjoy them on their own rights. They are his first books, so the writing is a bit crude, but they get better IMO. Yendi is...
