    What's your favorite 3.5 class?

I voted Druid. Lots of fun little special abilities, a combination of healing and offensive spells, free summoning, some of the best perception skills in the game, decent hit points and combat abilities, and shapechanging. What's not to like? However, if we include all D20 books, my favorite...

    Celtic Dreams

[Sense motive: 12 roll + 10 skill = 22] Eofyn smiles slightly, and says "It seems your House's might preceeds you, Aellwyn Lord, for my companions ware to insult your generosity with ill-considered requests." [Eofyn takes a breath and begins to speak his request, and as soon as you say what...

    Complete Divine Excerpts

I could easily see a bard taking it for the War domain, to get Greater Magic Weapon, which bards no longer get in 3.5, Flame Strike, and Divine Power. Divine power's boost to fighter BAB and +6 strength up to 3 times per day (cast it as 4th, 5th, and 6th level) alone could be worth a feat. I...

Torture in a magical world (Rated R)

I would say that the exact opposite is true. With magical healing, there's no limit to the types of greivous injuries you can inflict and then heal. I would actually suggest that you don't use the standard medieval torture devices. They're so well known that they're almost cheezy. Also...

    Stat blocks for Summoning spells

    Ah, perfect. Thanks!

    Stat blocks for Summoning spells

Thanks, but that's not exactly what I'm looking for. It's $10 I can't spare, has stat blocks of every creature in the SRD, and doesn't break them down by Summoning spell levels. The one Eric posted would be perfect, if it weren't for 3.0. ;)

    Stat blocks for Summoning spells

I've started playing a druid, and I'm finding it a bit annoying to have to cross-reference back and forth to get the stats for each creature I summon. Are there any resources online that have the statblocks for each of the monsters summonable at each spell level? How about for Summon Monster...

It's the same class, but we don't have any information whether it's been modified/tweaked at all.

    [XPH] Updated Mind Thief

Waitaminute... :D I don't think the psionic feats are the problem. It's the mundane fighting feats that are too good. So do I, and that's why characters get level feats. Did you notice that none of the classes you just mentioned get bonus feats from a big list, or from the expertise, dodge, or...

    [XPH] Updated Mind Thief

I officially withdraw that suggestion as poorly thought out :D It's not that much watered down. Compared to a rogue, they lose only 3 sneak attack dice over 20 levels, and gain psionic powers and access to psionic feats to compensate. Bardic music may be nice, but sneak attack is even nicer...

    [XPH] Updated Mind Thief

Whoops. :) I've only read about half the XPH powers so far, so I'm not all that familiar with them (especially nomad powers, which don't especially interest me). I was making suggestions both for flavor and balance. I just wasn't very clear about what suggestion was for what. ;)

My psionics house rules for the XPH

I would argue that it's not very well balanced, but point taken. You want to add on, not tinker. Me, I like tinkering. :) I see your point. I was thinking mostly about what's in the XPH and PH, not the 3.0 PsiHB. For what it's worth, a lot of powers in the XPH have the same names as PsiHB...

    [XPH] Updated Mind Thief

Not their sneak attack? This class seems more or less equivalent to the bard - not as good at party support, but actually better in combat because of their sneak attacks. Why do they need feats on top of that? It's much more powerful than giving set feats, because characters can aim for...

Talk to me about d20 Psionics

They're so different that I find them very hard to compare. The Psychic's handbook is more subtle, both in flavor and effect, and would be great for X-files. XPH is much more overt and powerful, and feels more like D&D mind flayers and 1990's era X-Men.

Archer/Duelist Core Class, anybody got one?

You might want to check out Monte Cook's Arcana Unearthed. It has two core classes that fit the bill. The unfettered is a lightly armored fighter, with decent skills, fighter BAB, bonus feats every 4 levels, +1d6 sneak attack every 4 levels, and a bonus to AC when wearing no armor or light...

My psionics house rules for the XPH

My own house rule is a modification of yours, but I also like the approach you've taken here, with a few changes. - Call it Thrall. There is no "greater thrall" power, and when it's augmented it's not very lesser at all. - I don't see why Thrall would be quicker to manifest than Dominate...

    [XPH] Updated Mind Thief

I think it would also be a good idea to give this class a few unique powers of its own. Part of the PsyWarrior's charm is that it has many powers that are unique to it. A couple that instantly come to mind are Alter Self, Psionic and Spider Climb, psionic. I would also reduce the level of a...

    [XPH] Updated Mind Thief

It's a nice design, but I do agree that it looks overpowered. The character concept doesn't really need bonus feats, so if you remove those it would look fine to me. If there are some psionic feats that you think are essential for this class, give a couple of them as specific bonus feats, but...

    UA-style Variant: Psychic Swashbuckler

Here's a class variant to satify all those who want their Psychic Warriors to be agile tumblers. Psychic Swashbuckler The psychic swashbuckler prefers quick movement and clever maneuvering to the crunch of heavy armor. Class Features: The psychic swashbuckler has all the standard psychic...
