.....it's also a complete myth. PF1e was more popular, but 4e says were still far and away above what PF1e was doing. Owen KC Stephens had mentioned this some time ago. It's D&D, even at it's worst, its sales were still huge compared to next competitor.

It's not that these need to be compatible with each other, it's that they need to be mostly to fully compatible with the existing 5e product, and future product from third party publishers.

I would wager you'll get the core books in print for 6th ed next year, and maybe a few releases here and there, but the majority of their releases would be on DDB. That's how I'd do it anyway. I also would have invited 3pp to create content that gets its first release on DDB and then 3-6 mos...

Looks like the big gold BRP book is only a buck on drivethrurpg. It's the core system for Call of Cthulhu. This makes it an all in one rpg.

Yes, agreed. Someone did some OCR or Copy\Paste to notepad, then to PDF or something to remove metadata most likely, just to be safe.
