Stats modifiers and +1/2 level. Where does it apply?

No. AC is 10+1/2 level*+Armor Bonus(+Dex/Int if you're wearing Light Armor**) Reflex Defense is 10+1/2 level*+Class bonus+Dex/Int. So they're similarly derived, sure. But I don't think AC will be defined as 'Reflex defense+Armor.' *I'm assuming. But it's almost guaranteed. ** I'd also bet...

    D&D 4E 4e Healing as Plot Device

Well, he survived, didn't he? Maybe he's got a dislocated shoulder, his whole body is going to be bruised for several weeks, a dozen or so cuts and scrapes. But give him a couple minutes to bind his wounds, and he's ready to go on. Why? Because he's a big damn hero, that's why. His hair may...

D&D 4E 4E: The day the game ate the roleplayer?

\m/. Oh, heck, \mmm/. That was inspiring.

    Collected DDXP Preview Pages

Didn't R&C say that Fighters can use their Dex bonus to AC in heavy armor? I'm pretty sure it did.

    No Rituals for Warlocks?

There's a pic in R&C of a Fey Warlock performing a ritual, so I hope it's something they can pick up easily.

    Psionics

I'm with glass. Ditch the element blasts, they just don't make any sense and they smell bad. EDIT: [Psychic] damage is probably okay, but no [fire] or [cold] or [radiant] or [acid] etc. Blech. I'm okay with Astral Construct, but the other snot powers can go. I also don't want wuxia psions or...

    Two stats per defense!

That doesn't also mean there isn't a chart with "Hey, a +8 works as a good number for level 26 soldiers, and a +X works as a good number for level Y skirmishers, etc."

So Int does NOT add to skills

Go look at the Rogue's class skill list. If you add Int to number of Trained Skills, he is The Best at everything. He can pick up all of his class skills. This is the reason that Int doesn't add to number of trained skills.

So Int does NOT add to skills

Actually, it looks like your powers will tell you which ability they use, and there is no 'standard' stat for attacks.

    D&DExp Character Sheets!

One of the Fighter's class powers (from the same place as the wiz/pally sheets) - Combat Superiority - halts an enemy with an OA if he tries to move past the fighter. That's stickiness. It's also pretty awesome. Also, Endurance is a skill.

Classes ... Much Less Flexible than Advertised

And the rapier is a light blade*, out of the box. That doesn't mean he's proficient in it. So we have: Take a feat, and Sneak attack with a rapier and Take a feat, and Sneak attack with a heavy crossbow. Compared with "Sneak attack with a hand crossbow or a dagger, no feats required."...

    Rogue: 6 skills or 10?

What he said. The second sentence is merely an elaboration of the 'four others' clause. And Stealth and Thievery are listed in the Class Skills section so you can pick them up when you multiclass into Rogue. Dollars to donuts you don't get the first level benefits of the classes you...

WotC has a milking machine now (Draconomicon I)

It's great that you've decided to share this with the rest of the class, but I'm just not sure that this information was relevant or interesting to anyone but yourself.

    Rogue: 6 skills or 10?

This '10 skills instead of 6' idea seems to me to be a deliberate and willful misinterpretation of a fairly clear and obvious text. You get Stealth and Thievery, and then you pick four from your class list. Also, since skills are compressed, adding your Int modifier to your number of trained...

Military, Simple, and Superior Weapon Groups?

With the renaming of all light thrown blades as 'shuriken', I'm a bit confused as to why they've previewed both 'bastard sword' and 'katana'. Surely katana would have been a good enough name for the two versions of the exact same weapon.

D&D 4E 4E Sneak Attack, how many times in a round?

I could also see it as finally acknowledging that 'one attack roll' does not mean 'one sword swipe', instead meaning 'one mechanically-determined attack effort'.

    Ampersand: Sneak Attack

A shuriken is a light blade, guys. That's pretty obvious.

& Sneak Attack: Skills and Proficiencies

There's no reason not to put "+Int to skill picks" in the skill description if indeed that rule still exists. So I'm just going to go ahead and say that in 4e, a high Int does not give you more skills. And I have no problem with that.
