I like 2 things; I like that they are at least making an attempt to enlarge the 'sweet spot' of D&D. In all honesty, the only rule change I've liked so far is the switch to defense scores, however I dislike the saving throw mechanic that is therefore a result of them... Pretty much everything...

Trying to like 4th Ed. I'd have to say I'm in the trying to like 4th ed, but everything I've seen or read makes it harder and harder, the tip over the edge might be when they announced you can play over a dozen creatures from the MM as players... over a dozen, surely they meant several dozen...

I thought "Heroic Classes" was what they were calling classes now, as in SWSE, to differentiate them from npc classes.

Yeah, our 3rd campaign was one session from ending when the announcement came. It's been LAN/Videogame nights ever since... However this weekend is the fall cottage retreat weekend, so without the internet I think we'll be forced to game....

I'll admit I haven't listened to the podcast yet. But, it seems counter intuitive that giving monsters a bunch of conditional abilities (the dragons tailslap thingy, something hinted about a flanked Death Knight) makes them easier for DM's to run. Seems to me just like more stuff for the DM...
