    Dominons

Does anyone know of a book or source that has rules for running a dominion? I know the Stronghold Builders Guide has some, but not much. I'm thinking of rules that say what kind of resources are on a lord's land, how much money can be brought in, taxes, etc etc.. Maybe some old Birthright products?

    Remorhaz and Immoth

That's what I did, give them Survival / listen checks to notice the remorhaz. When they do fall into the hole, let the remorhaz swallow a horse or mule or something. The remorhaz fell quickly in my group because of an archer with Hunter's Mercy spell. A fighter lost his sword to the remorhaz...

    Disguise Self

Can you use Disguise Self to alter your appearance to that of a half-dragon? I know you can't change creature type, and half-dragons are Dragons, but they are also (Augmented Humanoid)...

    Shining South vs Waterdeep

Well, the only "reference" was that the Waterdeep book was missing from the Wotc schedule right here at enworld, and a Shining South book was there instead. Also, what is of less use is subjective. At least I'm sick of holding campaigns based in Waterdeep or Cormyr.

    Shining South vs Waterdeep

So, has Wizards decided to change their plans for a Waterdeep book to a Shining South book? If so, I'm glad. This will give players and DM new areas to explore, instead of just revisiting old places.

    Vitality/Wound points vs Hit points

Wow, thanks for the response guys. What about published adventures which have so and so many encounters for a day? Do these adventures become easier to complete due to the fact that vitality points come back rather quick? Even though losing wound points is worse than sustaining the old hit...

    Vitality/Wound points vs Hit points

Hi. My group are considering trying the alternative wound points /vitality points system from Unearthed Arcana, and want to hear from others who have tried the same. What do you think of the system? Is it any better than hit points? And what kind of modifications did you have to do to make it work?

    Torture

The problem with PCs suffering "permanent" losses of anything at all, is that nothing is "permanent" in D&D. Extremities can be regenerated, injuries can be healed, ability loss can be cured. But I do agree with StalkingBlue that its risky to force the players to say anything they don't want. I...

    Torture

Two characters in the group I DM have been captured by the enemy, who desperately wants some information out of them. Check this thread to find out the nifty details of their capture. http://www.enworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=85525 Anyway, I was thinking of having him torture them, as by...

    Dominate Person, Feeblemind, etc..

Thanks for the feedback guys. I didn't think of the Headband of Intellect.. I'm not sure he even has one, lol. What I don't exactly get with the "new save", is whether this allows one to break free from the enchantment, or just refuse to do the command. And yes, its quite a mess because the...

    Magic Jar Questions

I had an enemy wizard use Magic Jar on my players last session, and it was really fun, as two players were captured, one died and the last one ran away feebleminded (evil DM laugh!!). In my opinion, spells and effects that would affect the mind stays with the mind that controls the body. So a...

    Dominate Person, Feeblemind, etc..

Last session ended up like this: - Duelist PC captured by enemy wizard after being possess by his Magic Jar - Ranger PC captured by enemy wizard after stabilizing at -9 hp !! - Shadow Adept PC barely escaped, jumping off a cliff using his Ring of Feather Fall.. but is feebleminded.. - Rogue...

Magic Jar, See Invisibility and Smokepowder

Yeah, I did study the Magic Jar carefully. The plan was to take over the group wizard, but it was impossible to make a distinction between all four party members. So I choose randomly and it turned out to be the main fighter. Anyway, I think I got it correctly. I agree that the barrel should...

Magic Jar, See Invisibility and Smokepowder

    1. When someone attempts to possess a body with the Magic Jar spell and fails, the caster's soul return to the receptacle. Can it try again indefinetely as long as the duration last? I know that the ones resisting is immune, but can he try different bodies? 2. The wizard in the group is trying...

    Narzugon

Hi. I wondered if anyone had converted the Devil, Narzugon to 3,5. I have an adventure for 3,0 with a narzugon in it, and am especially interested to find out what damage reduction it should have. In 3,0 it had a 20/+2. I reckon 5/good or maybe 10/good based on other devils with similar...

    Underwater combat

I find the two pages in the DMG quite lacking for information about underwater combat. What about spells? I find it hard to believe that you can easily cast spells underwater. Verbal components are hard to use since you cannot speak underwater, and the water is probably hindering any somatic...
